You are not your clothes, your job, your Instagram account, your income, etc... Your external is a reflection of your internal, and exuding confidence based on the material world or the ego isn’t doing you any real justice. It’s a long, ugly, dark road to allowing that love to flow solely from within, however it is possible, and it is worth it. Sit in whatever it is that you believe these external factors are feeding you, and ask yourself what you can do FOR yourself to make those feelings your own. What got you into Yoga? . For a lot of people it was injury. Same for me! When I was 18 I got into a fender bender on a road trip up to Denver (to see Hope Sandoval, great show👌). I wasn’t driving, but was asleep on the passenger side and awoke to hitting the car in front of us. The Denver construction plus traffic made for chaos 😑. #denvertraffic . So the next day I went for a stretch, reaching my arms out like normal and my spine popped in a way I’ve never felt. It temporarily paralyzed me, but then seemed to be ok. I shrugged it off for a whole YEAR before going to a chiropractor. I went to Dr. Swedberg @chirodocal (best chiropractor in NM) and he corrected my T12/L1 misalignment. I felt like someone had put my soul back in my body. It was incredible. . So from there I knew I wanted to take very good care of my spine. I found @highdesertyoga and have improved on every level of health in my physical body ever since. . If you’ve ever worried about hurting yourself in Yoga, know that it would only be from not practicing the postures with proper alignment. Otherwise, Yoga can and will make your body exponentially healthier- in strength, flexibility, stamina, and balance. . Oh btw, I love Yoga. Can you tell?😂 . What’s your story?
I cannot for the life of me remember how I used to get my hair out of my face for yoga when it was too short to tie back. I tried a headband but it just kept slipping off. If any of my short-haired friends have some tips, please share. It’s been a while for me 💇🏼♀️

A mix of hips, shoulders and upper back stretches. Areas that I felt needed some extra care and attention. . These can be held anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 mins each. Depending on your mood, joints and state of mind 😊.
