Smoothie Topped Chia Pudding by @memysmoothiesandlife 🍓 . Smoothie: - 1 scoop Forever Ultra vanilla protein/nutrition powder - 2 dl coconut milk - 1 frozen very ripe (black spot) banana - 100 g baked, shopped and frozen sweet potato - 100 g frozen cauliflower - 1 tsp cinnamon - 1 tsp peanutbutter Mix it all in a high speed blender. . Chiapudding: - 2 dl coconut milk - 6 tsp chiaseeds - 3 tsp Forever Ultra vanilla protein/nutrition powder Mix and put in the fridge for 30 min.

When I was 15 years old I saw a movie called Never Back Down.  It was your typical Hollywood mixed martial art movie.  It was based in Miami (I think) and everyone was tanned and in impeccable shape.  I would be lying if I said that my motivations for working out back then weren’t purely vanity driven.  They were, I was about 2 stone over weight at the time and wasn’t happy in myself.  It was on my mind constantly being an insecure teen and I felt pretty disgusted with how far I’d let things slip.  I just didn’t feel like me.  I wanted to change it, but like most starting out, I was trying lots of things and figuring all this stuff out.  Like in these movies, my workouts were a daily rocky montage.  I found a cookie-cutter plan online to follow and just started hammering myself every day.  Within a few weeks I felt sore, burnt out and in a constant daze... . I was busy with school work and friends too... I was constantly worried that I wasn’t going to fit exercise in and I’d beat myself up when I couldn’t make it.  It went from something that I thought was going to be exciting and rewarding to something I dreaded.  I soon realised it couldn’t continue so I hesitantly cut down to just a couple of workouts per week.  I did more and more research, started learning about the principles of training.  I switched my approach form pummelling my body into submission and instead focused on adding weight to the bar on just a handful of exercises.  I even left a couple of reps in the tank on all sets.  It was then I began making my best gains.  I was recovering well, I was predictably getting stronger and I was enjoying exercise again.  Don’t get me wrong, I pushed myself, but focusing on lifting heavy, not focusing on pain or sweating profusely.  It was then I started to see my physique change more than it ever had... And I was only training 3 days per week.  I was no longer stressing out about making it the gym either, if I missed a workout I’d just

First pic was taken in February, middle pic taken in May, and third pic was taken today! So happy to see my legs have finally leaned out more because that’s definitely a tough area for me. I didn’t change up anything in my routine to make my legs lean out, just stuck to the plan and KEPT PATIENT and slowly but surely it happened. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Throughout this entire weight loss phase my workouts have not changed- I’ve been following a powerlifting program (so tons of HEAVY compound movements) eating an average of 1900 calories a day, doing steady state cardio three times a week for 20 minutes, and I’ve been getting about 10k-15k steps a day. Also to answer a commonly asked question- I hardly train abs! By improving my body composition through lots of heavy lifting, my ab definition has improved without really working them much. So my top tips for making a transformation is:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1. Lift hard and heavy and stick to basic compound movements! No stupid variations of things lol, the basics are going to benefit you most.⁣⁣ 2. Be patient!!! Eat to fuel your workouts (no super low calorie bs) and focus on getting stronger and over time you will see results. Don’t under eat! If you eat and train like an athlete you will look like one. This isn’t a quick fix diet it is a lifestyle. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Ps. I couldn’t care less which one of these pics you like best, so keep your “you looked better before” opinions to yourself.
