Cloudy dreary day in Santa Fe and I’m not complaining 😗 This is the custom weaving I’ve been working on these days. I’ve been taking my sweet time thanks to the crazy chaos that seems to follow me 😆 but I can’t wait to see the finished product 👀🧡
Been trying to live a more simplified life lately and I think it’s making me take notice of the small things. Like all the animals roaming around, the corn growing in the garden, and this concrete wall that I’m in love with!
With Markets coming up + the Holiday season 🎄🤗 Mondays are now strictly for weaving. It feels so good to be back consistently where Woven Together started and there are so many ideas running through my head for new creations. October 19-20 we will be at the Bell Buckle Arts and Craft Fair (it holds such a special place in my heart) and this will be the first time all the new weavings I have been working on will be available! (And of course tons of earrings and other goodies I have been working on! 😋)
One of the things I really love about round weavings is that they challenge the way you think. Instead of weaving vertically up and down you're kind of weaving in all directions at once 🤣 Its a lot of fun and leads to some really unique designs.⠀ ⠀ If you'd like to learn about circular weaving sign up for my Beginner Circle Weaving class at @theguild_tx! We're two weeks away from the class, sign up now before the spaces are filled!
Here's a timelapse for the showcase I took part of with @montreal_raw . I really enjoyed every minute of it ; from the thought to the execution process! You can clearly see that I am struggling to fit and combine every piece together for a complete set up with all the decorative aspects that compliment my work. I hope you like watching this as much as I enjoyed working for it. Happy Monday everybody! 🌻
