Lately, I’ve found myself completely consumed by creativity. • I’ve been caught up in a whirlwind of excitement and inspiration, so much so that I’ve actually been struggling to fall asleep at night (which is definitely not ideal, though I am grateful for the artistic ideas that keep popping up) because I would rather be spending the time experimenting with new things! • Though I like to think I am always open to new ideas and constantly striving to explore new ways to utilize my classical training in all different types of musical genres, I have been a little closed off to trying out brand new techniques, instruments, and/or technologies. To be honest, it has been entirely out of fear, and the idea of having to learn a whole new “thing” just really stressed me out. • I guess the moral of this post is to be open to new forms of inspiration, and don’t pre-dispose yourself to failure - you just might surprise yourself ,and perhaps discover a new passion or talent. And as my dad always tells me, “if it were easy, everyone would do it.” • After jamming out on this awesome electric 5-string for the past week or so, I am so much more open to exploring - stay tuned for at least one video featuring this awesome instrument!
