Also made today was spicy chicken tortilla soup and Mediterranean chicken casserole (I baked some Italian marinated chicken and then dumped some of my premade orzo on top and finished with feta and baked.) these are my meal prep additions to my salads for a few days and will be extra lunch items for the hubs- he has been working so hard and non-stop, I just wanted to make sure he had some variety. ❤️ #foodprep#foodjournal#foodtracking#foodfanatic#variety

Jubilee was full of activity this morning, with the kick off of the annual Variety Vic Bash!! The Land Monkeys have doubled their efforts this year with two cars and are on track to surpass last year’s fundraising total! We wish all the participants the best of luck on their trek to Geraldton!
We are all unique, and our food needs are unique too. In general, a healthy way of eating contains a balance between the macronutrients: Proteins (build, maintain and repair tissue, organs, cells) -> animal sourced or plant-based: poultry, meat, fish, tofu, eggs, grains, beans... Complex carbs (source of fuel for muscles)-> starch or fiber: fruits, vegetables, whole grains, brown rice, potatoes... Fats (brain function, cell structure..): avocado, nuts, chia seeds, >70% dark chocolate, whole egg, fatty fish, extra virgin olive oil,... Keep in mind: The less processed the better. Eating about 30 different types of fruits and vegetables a week are great for your gut health. Variety is great. The ratios of the above macronutrients will be different depending on your goals, and should contain all 3. #justfeelthedifference#designtohealthy
