Jupiter the king of the planets. Reprocess of an old image from a few years ago, when Jupiter was much higher in the sky. Sicuramente attirerete l’attenzione 😂✌🏻

If Andromeda Galaxy Was Brighter 🌌 Follow 👉 @space_faring ⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ Andromeda is the closest large galaxy to us!!🌎 At 140,000 light years across, it’s 40% bigger than our 100,000 light year diameter Milky Way.⠀⠀ If the whole galaxy were bright enough, this is what you’d see at night (not to perfect scale and with the moon as a reference)⠀⠀ Composite by Tom Buckley-Houston.⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ Via @astro_iram⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ #space #science #nasa #cosmos #astronomy #astrophysics #universe #milkyway #solarsystem #nightsky #perspective #andromedagalaxy #astrophotography #nightphotography #esa #nightphoto #stargazer #telescope #galaxy #galaxies #cosmicperspective #stars #hubble #neildegrassetyson #spaceart #milkyway #milkywaychasers #milkywaypics
🙌🏻 Hubble #ilovelife #thereveranceofspace #repost @nasahubble with @get_repost ・・・ #otd 20 years ago, Hubble captured this #hubbleclassic image showing the eerie, wispy tendrils of an interstellar cloud being destroyed by the star Merope, one of the brightest members in the Pleiades cluster (also known as the "Seven Sisters"). In this image, Merope itself is just outside the frame to the upper right. The colorful rays of light at the upper right, pointing back to the star, are an optical phenomenon produced within the telescope. However, the remarkable parallel wisps extending from lower left to upper right are real features, revealed for the first time through Hubble's high-resolution imaging capability. Fun fact: Pluto was discovered by a 23 year old farm boy, Clyde Tombaugh, who had no degree in astronomy and just so happened to have been offered a position at Lowell Observatory, where he discovered Pluto in 1928. Another fun fact: Pluto will make its FIRST orbit around the Sun since it’s discovery on Monday March 23rd, 2178 💫 📸 New Horizons, 2015 when it made history by zooming within 7,800 miles of Pluto 🛰 • • • @nasa #nasa #newhorizons #discovery #pluto #planet #notaplanet #kindofaplanetthough #astronomy #space #earth #nature #cosmos #universe #solarsystem #spacestuff #star #stars #starstuff #link #telescope #observatory @lowellobservatory #lowellobservatory

#repost @spaceclub • • • • • Along the Cygnus Wall ✨ ⏪ Swipe • The W-shaped ridge of emission featured in this vivid skyscape is known as the Cygnus Wall. Part of a larger emission nebula with a distinctive outline popularly called The North America Nebula, the cosmic ridge spans about 20 light-years. Constructed using narrowband data to highlight the telltale reddish glow from ionized hydrogen atoms recombining with electrons, the two frame mosaic image follows an ionization front with fine details of dark, dusty forms in silhouette. Sculpted by energetic radiation from the region's young, hot, massive stars, the dark shapes inhabiting the view are clouds of cool gas and dust with stars likely forming within. The North America Nebula itself, NGC 7000, is about 1,500 light-years away. • Photo © by Jimmy Walker • • • • • #nebula #astronomy #astrophotography #astrophoto #science #view #perspective #space #milkyway #universe #cosmos #cosmic #cosmology #astrophysics #stargazing #lookup #nightsky #outerspace #spaceexploration #nasa #stars #extraterrestrial #universetoday #spaceclub #skyscape #constellation #planetary #telescope

Go check his profile for more amazing astro stuff. From Andy: Thrilled to have my image selected by the Nasa guys for today's APOD • What's happening in the Statue of Liberty nebula? Bright stars and interesting molecules are forming and being liberated. The complex nebula resides in the star forming region called RCW 57, and besides the iconic monument, to some looks like a flying superhero or a weeping angel. By digitally removing the stars, this image showcases dense knots of dark interstellar dust, fields of glowing hydrogen gas ionized by these stars, and great loops of gas expelled by dying stars • Imaging telescope:Sidereal Trading/Klaus Helmerichs carbon fibre 10"F4 Newtonian Imaging camera:QSI 683 wsg-8 Mount:Takahashi NJP Temma-2 Guiding camera:Starlight Xpress Lodestar Off Axis Guider Focal reducer:TeleVue Paracorr Comar Software:Adobe Photoshop CC 2019, Noel Carboni's Astro Tools for PhotoShop Noel Carboni Actions, PHD GUIDING, Sky Safari Pro, iOS Sky Safari Pro, Nik Software, Inc.
