Current work mode. ☺ (Tips below) . . I wanted to share two thoughts that I had today. Hopefully two useful tips for those out there, related to testing. . Product testing: If you're building a new product, this advice is for you: Test early! . I've seen this so often in super young startups that I've advised. I get it, you want to move quickly, you are confident that you know the problem and the solution. But often, that just isn't the case and it's completely normal. . If you really want to build a product that's helpful for people, you have to test it with those people. You can't work off of assumptions the whole time, without checking in with users. Then you release something to them after months or even years of work, just to have no one use it. . Validate your hypotheses and assumptions as quickly as you can. Be humble in the process, you very well might've been wrong. Be willing to adjust. Make sure the problem you think they have is really their problem. Make sure your solution really addresses that problem for them. Make sure your product is usable. Etc. . . And second thought, for developers: Always be testing. Do not release code that isn't properly tested. You might be able to build faster, but it'll catch up with you. You'll regret it later. Always including testing time into your project estimates. And product managers, allow time for testing. It has to happen, it is part of building. . And it's never too late to learn proper testing methodologies, how to write integration tests, unit tests, functional test, etc. I straight up sucked at writing tests for way too long. I had to pick it up quickly on one job (barely learned it in school or in my first jobs) and never took time to learn it with structure, so I always felt super out of my depth and confused when it came to writing tests. . I was able to put together tests, sure, but without the full confidence I wanted and with a lot of stress in the process. It was honestly only fairly recently that I

Hello! How are you doing? I had my third Machine Learning lecture today and we learned about clustering. Also in the second half of the semester we will have different Machine Learning projects(2-3 people in a group), we could choose from them with a ranking. I got my first choice, yay! I will tell you more details when I have talked to the customer and seen if he is fine with it. Also in this semester we need to prepare two workshops in pairs, which should be about 1,5 hours each. One is about leadership and the other one about drools, which is a Business Rules Management System you can integrate into Java projects. What have you been doing this week? Have a nice day. :) . #womenintech#softwareengineer#girlswhocode#programmer#womenwhocode#womeninstem#programming#coding#developer#devlife#coder#coders#softwareengineering#computerscience#informatik#linux#unix#linuxmint#machinelearning#ml#ai#drools
