So y’all, I went to my daughter’s softball game yesterday and was so adamant that I would NOT look like a stereotypical mom in the stands. 🔸🔸🔸 I mean, I want to be a mom and all, but not LOOK like an old, worn out mama. Because some (most) days, I might (definitely) feel like it! 🤣 🔸🔸🔸 Anyone else feel the pressure to keep up your style and looks as you get older and not fall into the trap of self-neglect? Giving to your family and your business 24/7 sometimes means we let go of ourselves.. and I’m bound to change that now. I’ve totally been guilty of self-neglect. 🔸🔸🔸 So to the mama at the game who did look disheveled and worn down - I don’t judge you, I love you, I feel you, now let’s take care of you. ❤️
Hey 30. My mama heart is having a hard time watching you grow up so fast, but oh how I love seeing the man you're becoming unfold in front of my eyes. Your heart for people, love for learning, and always doing what's right, all qualities I admire and wish I had more of. Love being your mama!
“The reward for conformity is that everybody likes you except yourself.” -Rita Mae Brown, author You’re not just a soccer player, a gymnast, or a baseball player. That isn’t who you are. It helps shape you, yes, but it isn’t the sum total of who you are. You could get hurt and never play again. Then what? Where does that lead you? I’ve been talking to my group about who they are recently. Not what they do, but their identity, their character, their faith, their activities and how it all meshes together. What that means for each of them. Trying to help them understand that their identity isn’t wrapped up in their activities but their character. That it is okay to believe what they believe when no one else does (or so they think). That if you wake up one day and don’t want to play your sport (or anything else...), it is okay because it is not who you are. . . . . #motherhood#honestmotherhood#raisingtweens#raisingteens#raisingkids#joymotherhood#parenting#momof4#momlife#3boys1girl#soccermom#baseballmom#gymnastmom#momoffaith#sportsmom
So proud of this kid ! Playing center mid, he is constantly moving and watching the game, being a leader on the field and impressing everyone with his skills. Starting on JV as an 8th grader is an awesome accomplishment! #soccer#youthsoccer#soccermom#greenwichwitches
Happy FriYAY! Hubby is away on a guys trip... I have got to get 3 kids to 17,000 different places... My classroom is a cluster right now.... So, I think my answer is pretty obvious! Although, I have to wait until after the 8PM soccer game. Crap. This may mean a Plan B! So, what's your answer?
