I'm on my 10th, dripping with sweat, hot flash!  Although I've had quite a reduction since starting up my hormones again 2 weeks ago, I am still interrupted during sleep and having these awful episodes that no longer feel like a symptom of menopause.  It's coming from my core.  I feel it coming before it happens and then, just like that, I'm drenched.  Now I've NEVER been a sweater. Even when I work out, it take A LOT of work to break a sweat. So as you can imagine, these past 5 months with no estrogen has been awful.  My specialist says 2 weeks and my symptoms should be gone. Well it's been nearly 3 weeks and theres been a small reduction but they're still quite severe.  Why did I stop? Well, I have endometriosis and in 2001 I underwent a total hysterectomy in the hope it would eradicate the disease.  For the last 5 or so years, I've had increasing abdominal pain and LOTS of bathroom issues πŸ™„  I am at a point now where I am prepared to investigate the possibility that the #endometriosis has been reactivated.  I have another follow up with my #menopause specialist in 2 months and will then be referred back to gynecology for further testing and surgery.  This is huge for me. I've been avoiding at all cost for fear of losing MORE parts of myself.  I know that its inevitable and I am nearly 100% sure that it(the endo) is present and that it's most likely fused the rest of my organs, intestines and whatevers left, together.  It makes me feel very sad and very anxious, the thought of more procedures for something that was supposedly taken care of nearly 20 years ago.  I was so careful then. Careful to do everything I needed to AVOID reactivating this awful disease!  Here we go again to the top of the rollercoaster, ready to drop and hit all the loop-d-loops. Head-Chest Hold  Place your left hand on your forehead and your right hand at your heart. Feel your head and chest, notice their rising and falling (or not) with your breath. Also notice how your head and heart feel connected (or not). Hold for as long as you like. FACT: Real love does NOT hurt.  But TRAUMABONDING hurts like Hell, and it’s actually a STRONGER bond, because it can leave a survivor of abuse feeling as if they might actually die, if the abuser were to leave. 😳  I ABSOLUTELY HAD TO ACCEPT the FACT that the abusive people I used to maintain codependentships with NEVER even knew HOW to love, or have healthy friendships or relationships, in order to break out of the cognitive dissonance and Stockholm Syndrome that abusive (and toxic) people know how to create. And I ABSOLUTELY HAD TO STOP allowing the abusers to come back into my life when they were being “nice” (inauthentically charming and agreeable) again! πŸ›‘  The Intermittent Reinforcement was what kept me from sticking to NO CONTACT, because I REALLY wanted to believe that deep down somewhere, the abusers were good people. πŸ’”  Accepting that some people simply do not have the capacity to love was a HUGE part of my healing process! We watch TV, take naps, exercise, volunteer, drink, self medicate, play video games, party, socialize. . Most of those activities are harmless in moderation. Many of them are even really good for you. . But when they are used as tools of avoidance, they become destructive. . Today, is there a discomfort within yourself?
