Mornings are MISERABLE but breakfast makes them BETTER!⠀ ⠀ OK… that statement might not be completely true. Some people love to seize the early hours, and breakfast isn’t always “the most important meal of the day” (That line was actually coined by the inventor of Kellogg’s to sell his cereal!)⠀ ⠀ But the point remains… eating within a few hours of waking up (and eating the right food) can really help to power your workday.⠀ ⠀ So, is Supple a food blog now? No… but we are an office that’s full of spreads, bread, toasters, kettles, teas, coffees, and even Mr Kellogg’s cereals.⠀ ⠀ Now we don’t consider that some amazing achievement. We’re just happy to contribute to employee happiness, healthiness, and positivity from the very start of the day.⠀ ⠀ Mornings can be hard for some people, while for others it’s the afternoon slump. We really encourage people to help themselves and each other, especially when things aren’t going so smoothly. That could take the form of Vegemite on toast or just an informal check-in.⠀ ⠀ Breakfast food isn’t culture. A table tennis table isn’t culture. But the way people feel when they’re at work IS culture. And we’re always striving to create a workplace where people feel great!⠀ ⠀ Feel free to share your favourite breakfast ideas with us below! Maybe they’ll even find their way into the office.⠀
Need help focusing in finishing projects faster? Don’t worry, you’re not alone . I have first-hand experience on pushing away distractions and getting stuff done. . Practical strategies: 1. Go off grid- turn off all phone and notifications Put an “away message” on your email, voicemails and texts until you finish 2.find a quiet place. if you work from home and you have no peace and your children running around, then find a bathroom with a lock door or closet or a garage space to work 3. Wear headphones and completely tune down noise 4. Take care of yourself Stop eating junk food, energy drinks, soda, and coffee Walk daily, take constant brain breaks, meditate, work out every day, and take daily vitamins or nutritional supplements I read somewhere that after a good 20 minute exercise your brain is able to completely focus for two hours. 5. Use a paper calendar and go back to old-school methods of organization so that your phone does not become a crutch - Any other ideas? #strikeforclimate BIG WIN. It’s more important now than ever to take a stand and act. I talk a lot about sustainable behavior change so let’s look at the facts 🔹 Eating plant based is not just good for your body and animals, but it’s also the most sustainable nutrition plan you can have. It takes 1000’s of gallons of water to produce meat and animal products. Not to mention the land use. 🔹 Shopping locally and in season means better for the planet with less transportation costs/ emissions and will probably be better on your wallet as well. 🔹 It’s time to do your due diligence if you haven’t and not be complacent. LET’S MAKE A CHANGE!
