The only time you should ever look back is to see how far you've come. It can be easy to overlook how much we've achieved when we haven't reached the end goal yet, but every small step in the right direction is still an accomplishment. . . What's something small that you've achieved recently?
Last year I told my husband that I wanted to bless the two Ladies who were my BIGGEST supporters when I began my travel business in March, 2018. I wasn't sure how when I spoke it. . . Well in 2019, I was able to take them on vacation to show my 'thank you' and appreciation. You are valued friends & business partners in my life Tonya Parker and Angela Ruffin....more than y'all will ever know. 💜 . . Travel first changed my life. I laid on my bed unemployed and watched the beautiful places of different destinations pop up on my smart TV. And, literally said....I don't want to just see the pictures or hear about it. I WANT TO SEE THEM FOR MYSELF!!" . . I'm not only seeing it for myself....I'm taking others with me....and earning money from the use of my smartphone. Man....what a difference a year makes with some positive affirmations. . . . #travelagentlife#positiveliving#positivespeaking#instatravel#doyoutravel#beautifulplaces
“So what have you been up to?” is a question that can be taken two different ways. 🤔 First, if it is coming from someone that I truly care about and love, I answer honestly and am happy that they care about that is going on in my life. Second, if it comes from someone that I don’t particularly enjoy talking to, I question their motive. Was that comment condescending? Do they know I haven’t done much in the last week? What was that face they made when they asked me? What do these thoughts have in common? They’re all assumptions. From the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, the third agreement is DON’T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS. Even in my relationship, I’ve gotten into fights because I didn’t clarify with my bf and jumped to conclusions. In some fights, we would start to laugh because we were fighting over miscommunication. So remember to ask questions and express yourself to avoid miscommunication and unnecessary drama. 🌱
Hi – Charlotta here, LotusTouch’s social media chick! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I heard about this minor school experiment which completely fascinated me and I couldn't help but to share it with Lily and Robyn – who in turn were as intrigued! In this classroom in Japan they set up aquarium styled tanks and placed a green leafy plant of the same kind in each. The students were asked, on a daily basis, to talk loving, soft soothing words to one of the plants, and shout, scream and take out frustration on the other. Both plants were otherwise cared for in the exact same way. After a little while, the plant which had received nothing but love, started flourishing and growing at more abundance than usual, and the other plant, the mistreated one, started to wilt, showing brown spots across its leaves. The moral of this experiment, not only showing that plants can experience energy posed on them, was that, much like the plant which got positive encouragement flourished, humans react in the same way. Likewise, humans subjected to negativity are impacted and have a harder time expanding in to greatness as they become full of self-doubt and sadness. After this beautiful and eye-opening story, I always remind myself and my partner to ‘keep loving the plant’, meaning that we want to speak kindly and respectfully to one another – and also to OURSELVES – removing all the negativity and malicious insecurity. ✨ @charlottabarman
