I LOVE custom projects! Working with other minds is like coffee for my creativity - it just revs me up. This little guy is a custom notebook for Hawaii Tourism Japan @gohawaii_jp and I’m loving the little gold detail on the cover. Whacha think? ✨
Somehow I hadn’t seen the movie Midnight in Paris. I’ve watched it a handful of times in the last couple weeks, am obsessed, and have been telling everyone they must see it. To which they reply, it’s incredible and they loved it when they saw it years ago. I don’t know how I missed it. If you haven’t seen Midnight in Paris, watch it, immediately, it’s free on YouTube. And then DM me about it. If you follow me, I can almost guarantee you’ll love it . It’s about artists, writers, those with a different take on life, those who feel born of another time, it’s about love, nostalgia, about the magic that is Paris. And the cameos!! I’ll say no more as to not give anything away for those who haven’t seen it. Although I think I’m apparently the last person . I downloaded the movie onto my computer when I went to live in Paris for a poetry program a few years back. I thought it would be ideal to watch while there but I was too busy writing and loving Paris to have time to watch a film about those things. Which now seems fitting to the movie’s message about being in the present . This picture is the light from the setting sun along the Pacific Ocean a few nights ago. It’s hard not be present while watching sunsets. The Golden Age Thinking—that another time was better—is real and especially so for artists and intellectuals. There’s a powerful pull to the past, it’s mystique and seemingly simpler time. I know I personally romanticize the past, in many ways. But there is an awareness that comes with acknowledging and appreciating where you are, what is, in this age, in this exact moment.
On classic Vancouver days like today (helloooo ☁️), all I think about is sunny places & tropical adventure. So... let’s daydream together! Where’s your bucket list travel destination? If only we could all own teleportation devices!! I’d take a lunch break in St. Tropez... 🏖🌴🥂✨ #zaleska
I never know what to post here - like ever. I don’t really know how much the feed actually matters anymore, but I always wanna post something. I just don’t know what...back when I was really into influencer/marketing type podcasts they would always say niche down on your content whether it be Instagram or blog or whatever. And I would be like ugh what’s my niche?!? I like fashion (but not so much lately), I love food (but I’m not a chef), I love nature and gardening (but I’m not like adventure hiker or like the best gardener - sometimes my shit dies)...I could go on and on. Basically, I’m not a niche. 😬😳 I’m just me who likes everything so I’ve decided to say fuck it and post whatever I’m feeling or vibing with at the time on my feed, kinda like how Instagram was supposed to be in the first place. 🌴☀️ So as I sit in my cube, trying to catch up from being on vacay for a week, I want to post a pic of the gorgeous palm trees and bright blue sky of Palm Springs from last week. I miss it so much. I love the desert - as long as there is a pool involved lol. 🏊🏼♀️💙 Hope you guys are having a decent week - can’t wait for the wkend! ✌🏼😊🤷🏼♀️🌴
Back yard but make it tropics! 🌺 I’ve become addicted to @soldejaneiro’s Coco Cabana Cream, which makes me feel like I’m in the tropics! I just LOVE the fact that it leaves my dry skin hydrated and smooth especially at the end of summer with its coconut oil and fermented sugar! #cocoplush#cococabana @sephora
