My husband and I are on day 60 of a whole90 and our kids (16, 14, 11) have decided to join us for the last 30 days! I’m thrilled that our example has encouraged them, but I’m also a tad bit overwhelmed. They eat all.the.time. So yesterday I planned out their breakfast, lunch, and snack options. This will be on our fridge in hopes that I’m not asked very 30 seconds what they can/can’t eat. They each have areas that we are excited to see of whole30 can improve (skin, asthma, attention, etc). Thankfully they are used to eating whole30 dinners, so that won’t be a big change. And this is the perfect time because there’s no birthdays or holidays and we started homeschooling again this year. Here’s to the next 30 days!  I’d love to know if any of you have done a whole30 as a family! Any advice?

This weeks lunch is BLT salads from @nocrumbsleft cookbook! I did change a few things (whole egg, not just the yolk and added radishes and celery) I’m serving it with @wholesisters ranch. No Bake Snickerdoodle Donut Holes 😍 Have you ever heard a better sentence?! 😜 Paleo, GF, and easily plant based if you use a plant based protein! Plus you don’t have to turn on the oven 💯 - - I absolutely love making this recipe- this is the 3rd time I’ve made a new flavor of it 😂 This snickerdoodle version only has 5 ingredients for the donut holes + an easy 3 ingredient icing 👌🏻 Behind pumpkin, snickerdoodle is one of my top flavors for fall/winter 😎 Give me alllll the cinnamon and sugar! (Hence last nights post 😂) You can’t beat this easy recipe honestly 😌 Perfect way to start hump day 💃🏼 Have a good one!! ❤️ - - #recipe details 👉🏻 In a bowl, combine:  1/2 cup cashew butter ( I used @justins)  1/4 cup + 1 tbsp coconut flour  1/4 cup maple syrup  1 tbsp vanilla protein ( I used @ancientnutrition vanilla collagen)  1 tsp cinnamon  Mix everything together well then line a pan with parchment paper. Use a cookie scoop, scoop out the batter and roll into balls. Place them all on a the baking pan and put in the fridge for an hour.  Icing recipe:  1/2 tbsp almond milk  1/2 tbsp coconut butter  1/2 tbsp maple syrup  Melt the ingredients together for 30 seconds in the microwave, mix, then repeat melting and stirring every 15 seconds until it’s melted. You want to let it thicken just a little bit before adding to the donut holes so it sticks better.  Once the donut holes have hardened, roll in the icing mixture. Then mix together: 1/2 tbsp coconut sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle them with this mixture. Place back in the fridge for another hour to harden. I would say its more of an adult friendly recipe since buckwheat has a particular flavor and its not very sweet so if you want to try it with kids i would add a bit more coconut sugar. HOW TO FAST  A total fast means abstinence from all food, in either liquid or solid form. During the fast it is important to drink plenty of water as it helps to flush the toxins out of your system and to cleanse the body. Water is not a food, it does not stimulate the appetite and it does not need to be digested.  When you fast it is not recommended to entertain thoughts of food. You will not derive the full benefits of fasting if your mind always dwells on food. Fasting is a golden opportunity to turn your thoughts towards God.  Keep yourself busy with peaceful activities during the fast. Rest and relax as much as possible. Try to be quit and to spend time by yourself whenever you can.  Some tips: • If you are new to fasting it is best to begin with a short fast. • Fasting on a regular basis helps to keep the body and mind healthy. • Pick a time when you can be quite, perhaps at the weekend. You may choose to be on your own. • Weekend fasts are recommended several times per year, especially at the time the seasons are changing. • Long fasts need to happen under supervision of an expert or can be implemented if you have a lot of experience with fasting.  Although fasting has magnificent results and can rejuvenate and heal the body, you need a solid foundation of knowledge of the do's and don'ts during and after a fast, the possible side effect and also knowledge about the functioning of the body. I would say breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, but honestly I just like them all haha. Me and food have a tight relationship, and that's why I don't consider what I'm doing a diet. Get your paws on our pancakes with sesame and maple syrup, and get ready to have your mind blown.  PANCAKES WITH SESAME AND MAPLE SYRUP  Ingredients: Pancake mix Canola oil Seedible sesame butter (creamy) Maple syrup Banana Blueberries  Follow your favorite pancake mix recipe. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil. Once melted, add a tablespoon of pancake batter. Once bubbles start to form on the pancake, flip it over. Cook until both sides are browned.  While still hot, top the pancakes with Seedible creamy sesame butter. Once that melts, spread it over the pancakes. Then add maple syrup, banana slices, and blueberries. Serve immediately. It's starting to to feel a little bit like fall here in PA!  Here is a healthy and tasty way to start the day.
