Do you remember as children, we'd go to the mall on weekends and spend a good few hours there? I certainly do. I know it's bad for business, but I'm glad that malls no longer have the allure it used to. This isn't to say that we're not spending a crap ton of money because I have a feeling we actually spend more now online. . When malls were all the rage, whenever I got bored or got together with friends, we would shop. I'm not sure how many hours we'd be there. When malls weren't as enticing, I spent time online shopping instead. I'd look for fun. I'd look when I would get an email telling me there's a sale. I'd look when I got bored at work, at home. I mindlessly shopped. Since @slowfashionseason I may have spent maybe an hour or so online in 3 months total. I never assessed how much time I spent shopping online so I won't make up a number. I don't know where my time goes to be honest. Wait, I'm a mom..😆 . In all seriousness, my mind isn't stuck on buying the newest item or the newest trend anymore. It simply isn't enticing to buy without a purpose. I've saved me A LOT of money (apparently 9% of my income per yesterday's post). It's been so freeing to know that I don't want anything anymore. I am fully content with what I currently own. I'm not being pulled to looking online so that I can keep up people and what they're wearing. I am no longer drawn to consume in our world of constant consumption. I know I won't be the coolest looking mom with old clothes...and that's ok! .
