The weather this weekend has been glorious! To be honest I’ve been hiding in my room as it’s just too hot & my body is not liking it...typical 😂 Anyway I’ve had the dogs keeping me company & these gorgeous flowers brightening my day. Hope the rest of you are enjoying the sun! • Day 25 @myhousethismonth & @mygardenthismonth : Colour Pop & Fave colour.
So slightly late with today’s post as we embarked on another road trip to my aunts house. Yes on the hottest day of the year we’re bonkers and thank god for air conditioning in the car. @storyofmyhome Theme today is “outside the box” so I decided to post a gorgeous painting from my mother-in-law’s house. Stunning isn’t it & perfect for @myhousethismonth theme “colour pop” apparently it’s from Italy.
Back home, tired and sweaty but feeling sunkissed and happy! Especially after watching the end of the cricket 🥳 Anybody else watch it or listen in? I was exhausted just watching it! Man alive, I’ll be happy to rest my head here tonight, and when I say tonight, bedtime may be brought forward considerably; I need a SERIOUS amount of beauty sleep! 🧟♀️ . Ad - I’ve been lucky enough to be gifted the beautiful navy velvet cushion by @cushoouk swipe to see a close up of the gorgeousness.
• SCORCHED • - Dad is back in his natural habitat on the roof - yesterday he investigated our leak & mucked up all the defects. If you don’t know, he was a roofer before I was born & for my entire childhood but had an injury & ended up giving it up. Now he’s back building & helping us - which means he gets to play up in the clouds again. Cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see him happy - also absolute LOL him doing his @lewiscapaldi at the end ✌🏻💛🔥☁️
August is crispy. Days sear hot and deliver burnt green, Leaves; too limp to speak. . Grasses tinging brown, Laying wait for the farmer’s sharp blade. They cover the weak. . Hiding from the heat, Lay vermin relieved from the fierce flames, Overhead; They sleep. . Inside the waiting She blossoms up, preparing to sing; Her black eyes shining. . Softening the dread Of Summer’s doom the daylight shortens; Resting for Autumn. . What cadence is this, A seasonal reminder; new life Will return in time. . Content in the wait, She trumpets; dressing the earth in gold. “Winter is coming”. . “Draw close to your home, The harvest ripens for tomorrow’s Days in the darkness”. . Shining so brightly This daughter of the sun is at peace; Knowing she’ll return. . Black-eyed Susan ~ By Danielle Kyle ❤️#thekylelife
