•• I'M BACK! •• Thanks for everyone who stuck around while I was at work for the past two weeks. It's a 24 hour a day job (besides the few snatched hours of sleep). I'm a bit sad that it's done for the year but I am glad to be back here with all of you. . •• What touched you this week? •• . >> A lot of the kids (and quite a few of us adults) cry on the last day and that's always a particularly special time for me.
Recent life was splodged with Cilbar bowls (that’s Turkish poached eggs in yoghurt in case you are new to the dish like me) for the family, and ginger jaggery cake. On a reading dry land at the moment because I am not finding a book that sucks me in. However I did read some gems this year like A Promised land (transl Urdu), Ocean Vuong, & Jess Kidd this year (link in bio for best reads of 2019). I’ve been watching Derry Girls which is obnoxiously funny and just the thing that saves you when you want to distract yourself (somehow I find it non bingeable which is glorious esp if you have a lot of work and deadlines). - - Hit me up with your fav shows at the moment, preferably non brainers where I can just shut off my thinking cells and relax.
