My husband and I were walking in the mall, when a guy with his daughter passed us. He looked at our newborn and smiled, he looks at his daughter and back at us and says, “you know it’s only going to get harder, right? It’s like a video game, every stage is harder”. My husband and I both cracked up. I think I’ll remember that moment forever! Did you think parenting was going to get harder or easier? Comment below! Can you spot Naturally Shauniece? Lol. Here I am 2002 prom 🤣 I had fun at prom, but boy would I do some things differently. What would you do differently if you could re-do prom? . . . My senior year and prom was a difficult time for me because my parents had moved our family from the best place on earth (San Diego), to what I thought was the worst place on earth, Silver Spring, Maryland. Even though I made new friends I still very much missed all my friends back home. . . . On 10/19 I'm so happy that I can re-do my prom at @fete_posh A Prom For Moms. Not only do I get to re-create my prom night, but this time I get to do it with new and old friends too! Oh let's not forget that @titosvodka is one of @fete_posh sponsors. AND I have my own money and no curfew. Okuurrr 😛 . . . If you want in on the fun, want to re-create your prom, or just have a night off with your girlfriends and fellow mamas, come out and party with me @fete_posh. You can purchase a discounted ticket using my promo code "NaturallyShauniece" BEFORE selecting your type of ticket. I'll put a swipe up in my stories. See you there!! . . . #dmvmomtribe#dmvmoms#districtmotherhued#momlife#mommylife#motherhood#mother#momtribe#momboss#wifemotherhustler#boymom#motherhoodunplugged#momstyle#momblogger#blackmomsblog#blackmoms#melaninmom#blackmommagic#momblog#blackgirlswhoblog
Small Business Saturday is on the blog! Today we’re talking about @toddlertowns ✨ Toddler Towns is Houston’s original Soft Play Rental Company that delivers a safe, fun, and creative atmosphere directly to you! Their Soft Play Towns can be set up in any indoor/outdoor environment including homes, gyms, classrooms, pre-schools, and special event venues. With a variety of equipment from ball pits to crawl tubes, tunnel mazes and more, they guarantee to keep children entertained for hours in imaginative and exploratory play. Owners Angelita Brinkley and Sonia Robles go way back. They're sister! The idea for the company was inspired by Angelita's toddler, Zen. She was approaching her second birthday at the time, and they just couldn’t find something age appropriate that could be rented out in a private setting. They knew Zen loved the soft play equipment at The Houston Children’s Museum, but could not find a company who would rent their area for private parties. After searching, and much googling the sisters realized that there was a need for this type of service. So the sisters sat in their living room for an entire Sunday brainstorming, and mapping out what is now @toddlertowns Angelita said the road to becoming business owners wasn't always an easy journey, but it was something they both believed in from the start. That assured them they were on the right path. A quote Angelita read a quote once that continues to speak to her today: “ To be successful in business, find a need for something that you relate to, and bring it to life” They have a passion for what they do, and it makes all the difference to the families they serve! We got to chat with Angelita and Sonia about their business, one we were introduced to at a party a few months ago and just loved! We hope you find these women as inspiring as we do! PLUS and exclusive discount just for you!! Full interview in the blog!

When it comes to motherhood, it's impossible to get through the days and the years without a strong community. Entering into mamahood as a new mother can be extremely isolating, confusing, and overwhelming; it's uncharted waters with no how-to handbook (besides your own mom or other strong, influential, supportive parental figure in your life)... Parenting boils down to a whole lot of trusting your gut, your intuition, and your mama bear instincts, as well as surrounding yourself with other women in the same stage of life as you - Motherhood. If you are craving community, love and support come see what we are all about. We can't wait to meet you, and be here through every stage of motherhood.
What should my first post be... what even is this accounts purpose 🤔 Well, I’m not sure. It’s place to share ideas, thoughts, opinions; On being a women, a mom, a Christian, a wife, a dog owner. I certainly wasn’t sure what to post first, but then I stumbled upon this gem. Beautifully said! My second child is almost three years old, so I no longer carry much of a diaper bag. This leaves me in the occasional predicament and I’ll find myself apologizing to friends of mine for offering my child a snack, or for bailing me out when one of my kids unexpectedly vomits on their shirt. I love my kids and they are well taken care of.. there should be no shame in receiving or even asking for a helping hand. #momprobs#momproblems#momtribe#momssupportingmoms#momstruggles
