A Mindfulness Meditation to Fix Bad Posture by Courtney Sunday . Take a moment to notice what came along with the slouching. How is your energy? How is your mood? . Take a deep breath. . Considering you may slouch over and over (and OVER) again, this mindfulness exercise is not meant to be so long that you need to clock in overtime. It is meant to be 30 seconds tops, as opposed to 1 second. . The 30 seconds will give you an opportunity to spread your awareness, to plant your feet and to start again. . The practice of mindfulness is not meant to make us into calm robots. It is meant to expand our awareness. It is meant to make room for what is underneath. . As you get more of these chances to check in with yourself, you may find that better posture becomes the norm rather than the exception. Slowing everything down by 5% can make a profound difference to the way that we live. . Or at least the way that we sit and stand.

Reparenting for relationships:  Because most adults have unresolved trauma, we haven’t been able to become mature autonomous adults. This creates an emotional immaturity within us where we believe someone can (and should) fix or save us.  In this mind state, we place so much pressure on our partners. We want undying devotion. We want someone who makes us the center of their world. When they cannot fill the roles we’ve placed on them, we end the relationship. Only to repeat the same cycle over and over again.  This is because we repeat the conditions we experienced in childhood. We look for our partners to heal the wounds from parent we had the most conflicted relationship with.  Reparenting allows us to have a true, healthy, autonomous relationship. One not based on fantasy or wounds of the inner child, but a relationship where two people hold of a mirror for healing. Creamy Broccoli Salad . This is my kind of salad! Full of goodness, filling and delicious, and easy to prep for the week.  The addition of hemp seeds helps give it a boost in protein, fibre, and healthy fatty acids which have anti-inflammatory benefits.  You can’t go wrong 😊 . Salad: 2 heads of broccoli  1/2 cup raisins 500g bacon (optional) 1/2 small red onion 1 red capsicum  2 TBSP Hemp seeds (I use @theorganicmc) . Dressing: 1C greek yogurt 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup olive oil 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1/3 cup sunflower seeds 2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey . Method: . 1. If including bacon, cook in a dry pan. Let cool and chop into small pieces 2. Place all ingredients for the dressing into a medium bowl and whisk until all ingredients are combined. Set aside.  3. Next, either finely slice the broccoli, or slice in the food processor and then place all ingredients for the salad except for the hemp hearts into a large bowl and pour dressing over salad ingredients. 4. Mix well and be sure that all ingredients are coated in the dressing.  Top with hemp hearts. 5. Our guess is that most of us rarely prioritize making time to switch off and recharge mentally and physically. Time without T.V, Netflix, phones, social media, chores, errands, or lists 🚫 nothing but time to reconnect with yourself 💫 time to relax 🧘‍♀️ time to let go of the thoughts that fill your head space 💭 time to notice all the little things around you 🦋 time to be grateful 💞and most of all time for you to be with you 😌  It doesn't need to consume the weekend, day or cost a single dollar 👛 Here's some ideas to inspire you... 🌳 Sit in nature and observe the sounds of the birds, trees and wind. Notice the shapes of the trees, branches, leaves and flowers. Look at the insects and birds around you. If it's dark, look up at the stars and the moon. 🚶‍♀️Go for a walk and as you do, notice the details around you, pat the friendly dogs, smile as you pass by others and observe the beauty of the world around you. 🧘‍♀️Meditate. If you're new to meditation, you might enjoy meditating during a relaxation song, you can search for a guided meditation and follow that or you can try 'Anapana' - mindfulness of breathing. 🤸‍♀️Stretch your body. There are plenty of yoga videos on the internet with a range of levels, duration and difficulty to choose from in the comfort of your home and they're free. If you have injuries or concerns please seek advice from your health professional prior. 🏋️‍♀️Do some exercise at your gym, home or go for a run and release some endorphins 😴Sleep.
