I’m back in New Orleans and ready to celebrate the rest of September at home. September is one of my favorite months, it’s my birthday month (Yay Libras!) and it’s also the month that I got married to my first husband for the second time. It’s a long story but the takeaway is that you can indeed get two wedding registries out of one marriage. 🎉 My second wedding was a simple affair. I bought my wedding dress the day of the ceremony, we had 2 witnesses, went to a nice dinner, and met friends after to drink champagne and eat wedding cake cupcakes. My first wedding on the other hand was a larger ordeal besides the destination wedding aspect there was a minimoon, a 2 day post wedding party (that I may or may not have left on a stretcher), and a honeymoon. 💕 One of the most helpful things I did in preparation for my big day was go to a bridal fair. Not only was I able to chat with vendors about their services, I also got to meet other brides, get advice on planning, and sample delicious treats. 👰🏾 On Wednesday I’ll be participating in my first wedding expo with @neworleansweddings from 6:30-9:30pm at the @cannerynola. My goal is to meet couples that need assistance and guidance with their wedding and honeymoon travel and offer at least one stress free component for their big day. 💍 I have 4 free tickets to giveaway so tag a bride, groom, or anyone in the wedding party who you think should be in attendance and I’ll DM you the code. If you can’t make it but still would like to chat about working together for weddings and honeymoons in New Orleans and beyond shoot me an email!
I can still remember the feeling in my stomach as I got off the plane in Santiago, Chile. . . I was terrified, excited, curious and anxious. . I was traveling alone, for the first time, in a country where I barely spoke the language. . . And you know what? Not only did I survive, I had the time of my life. I was forced out of my comfort zone. I learned to speak Spanish and I met new people which then allowed me to go horseback riding in the mountains, taste amazing Chilean wines, eat the best Peruvian food and be shown around the city by a local. . . I look back on my first solo travel experience with a full heart and am grateful for the experience that paved the way for me to live abroad for a year and travel Europe alone. . . #solotravels#solotravelgirl#onelifetotravel#santiagochile
