Two. More. Days. • The latest in the Armand Gamache series will hit stores on Tuesday and we are VERY excited about it over here (as evidenced by Zelda’s on point paw lift in the second picture 🤣). HUGE thank you to @whatmeganreads for sending me her arc copy of A Better Man. I absolutely loved it and wish that Three Pines really existed because I would pack up everything and move there stat. I think Zelda, Huck and I would fit in just fine with Ruth and her duck. 😂 • Are you a fan of Louise Penny? Which book is your favorite? #threepines#louisepenny#proseandpalate#bookstack
I want to tell you a very funny story that happened to me at work today and I’ll preface this by saying that I work in a bookstore: A lady asked me if we’re going to carry the new Linwood Barclay book, and I said yes and checked the release date for her. We get to talking about his books, him and how she lent his books to her neighbour. Her neighbour enjoyed them and she said, “Why don’t you lend them to your wife?” He replied, “I don’t know. My wife reads really slowly.” Her response was, “That’s okay; I’ll kill you if you don’t return it.” I thought she was going to say: It’s okay; I know where you live. 😂😂😂 I think it was so funny because it was so unexpected! This prompts my question: . ❓Do you lend your books out? . I do BUT (more buts as I’ve gotten older) not specific ones that are signed, or are special editions or ones that have a lot of sentimental value. If I lend a book I know it can get damaged so I only lend ones that can be replaced, and I ask that the person who damaged it do the replacing. I’m realizing that I’m really particular about this. 😅 But I do want to share as many books as possible because I think it’s so important for people to read and enjoy reading. Sharing books with people you love is fun. . #bookstagram#bibliophile#bookish#booklove#booklover#bookworm#booknerd#bookporn#bookaddict#itsfunnyyoushouldask#funnystory#louisepenny#mysterybook#mystery#qotd#aotd#readandriot#terrireadandriot

🍂I’m slowly but surely working my way through Louise Penny’s books. I only discovered her last year and I love picking up with her murder mysteries set in the hidden village of Three Pines. It’s kind of like comfort food to me. A good series with well known and loved characters hits the spot when I don’t want to think hard and just be entertained. Think of her as a modern day Agatha Christie ✍🏻 . . And Hello Friday! 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 . I’m ready to party. That means going to the Reno house and fixing it up. But I love it. Have a great weekend guys x#. . . #bookstagram#bookish#louisepenny#thebrutaltelling#murdermysterybooks#instabook#booksofig#instabuch #bücher#buchwurm #instalivre#bookshelfie#bookseries
A Trick of Light is Louise Penny's seventh book in her Inspector Gamache series. I started this series 2 years ago, and I am slowly making my way through it. Her novels contain more comex mysteries, and I tend to need some time in between reading each book in the series. . This novel was set in the series' classic setting of Three Pines. All of Louise Penny's beloved characters made an appearance, but the mystery mainly surrounded Clara and her art world. However, The events from books five and six continue to effect the characters in this story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . The more of this series I read, the more I fall in love with it. I love the characters. Louise Penny's writing is in a league of its own. She is able to develop a complicated mystery that still manages to have elegant writing that makes you both feel and think. She is truly a master of her craft. . Have you tried Louise Penny’s mysteries yet? . #bookstagram#readmorebooks#bookworm#booknerd#bibliophile#louisepenny#pennypushers#atrickoflight @louisepennyauthor #karleareads2019
“It’s so easy to get mired in the all too obvious cruelty of the world. It’s natural. But to really heal, we need to recognize the goodness too.” ― Louise Penny, A Great Reckoning 🌲🌲🌲 A short and sweet review of A Great Reckoning: This Louise Penny was particularly good. So many layers and red herrings.
