It’s time to introduce you to Singer/Songwriter number 3 @michaelclancymusic 🤩 . Michael Clancy is a singer-songwriter hailing from Colchester, England. He grew up absorbing the music of the great American singer-songwriters (James Taylor, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen to name a few), before moving to London to pursue his own musical journey. 2015 saw him release his acclaimed debut EP, 'Worlds Apart.' The subsequent years saw Michael release two more acoustic EPs, ‘Fields Of Maine’ in 2016 and ‘If The Sun Goes Down’ released in 2017, both receiving acclaim for their soothing melodies and touching lyrics about loss, heartbreak and the pursuit of happiness. In between solo projects Michael has become a familiar face on the UK country and Americana scene, accompanying rising stars including Two Ways Home, Jake Morrell and Emily Faye. May 2019 sees Michael release his fourth EP, ‘Songbird.’ Produced by Maxime Obadia, ‘Songbird’ marks a progression towards a more band orientated sound. The title track explores the crossroads that we can reach at numerous stages in our lives, with an ultimately hopeful message: ‘Sometimes life can bring you to your knees, but you’ll always find a Songbird in the trees.’ Instagram: @michaelclancymusic Website: www.michaelclancymusic.com Twitter: @mclancymusic . It’s here! The first face of OG 🤩 . We’ll be launching at @owlhitchhiker THIS MONDAY 23rd September with a night full of Original Music 🎼🎶 . Joining us will be the wonderful @craigwebbmusic 🤩 . Sussex born soul singer/songwriter Craig Webb moved to London when he was 21 years old to unleash his honest, soul baring songs to wider audiences. Having met his long term co-writer and guitarist Coleman James whilst studying musical theatre at university. Craig went on to showcase his original material leading him to support artists such as 2015 X Faxtor Winner Louisa Johnson, Hot Chip, Billy Lunn, Beverley Knight and Nate James, this also includes a high profile performance at London Pride Festival supporting Fleur East with an all original set. Scooping an award and becoming a finalist for Best Original Song with his tune 'Paint the Weather' for Box Berry Studios, Craig knew he wanted to let his music do all the talking. Craig has recently been collaborating with a pool of producers including Amy McKnight, having co-written and featured on two of her singles, ‘Deep End' and 'Mr Social' (the latter being used for the BBC series ‘The A Team’ earlier this year). Craig made his TV debut back in 2017 qualifying as a live quarter finalist on Gary Barlows BBC1 talent search 'Let It Shine'. With new music currently in the works, due for an early 2020 release, Craig has no plans on simmering down anytime soon.
