If you’ve ever beat a plateau please share how you did it in the comments!! To avoid overwhelming and discouraging beginners, please word your comment like this; “what worked for me was...”. Because what you had to do, might not be necessary for everyone. . . . If someone suggests an idea that seems do-able for you, try that! Because chances are, it might work! And if someone suggests something that seems too hard, don’t do that unless you’ve literally tried EVERYTHING else. . . . What worked for me was paying attention to how much protein I was eating and switching my weekly cheat days to once or twice a month. Unless you’re a body builder or athlete it’s best to aim for half of your body weight in grams of protein per day. This means if you weigh 200 lbs, try to eat around 100g of protein per day. Too much protein can knock you out of ketosis and cause over eating. When I was eating 120-130g per day I felt like I was never full, but after reducing it to 90g I was able to feel full from way less food and lose the last 20 pounds I needed to hit my goal! Now I eat around 80g per day. . . . What also worked for me was to track inches rather than weight to reduce stress. Stress spikes blood sugar and causes over eating, so even if you’re doing everything right in the kitchen, the fact that you’re weighing yourself and constantly getting stressed about the number on the scale, could turn a 2 day plateau into a 2 month plateau. @brilliantlyketo starting a NEW family #ketofied tradition! _ Do you have a traditional family meal, entree, or treat that you always have on Easter? _ I do not. I of course have all the memories of following the jelly bean trail in the morning, but we never ate anything specific. _ For week 2 of @ketocollabs we are all sharing family traditions. For our family I want to focus on making new family traditions, and we are starting out with a bang. French toast is always our go to holiday meal. What's more perfect for Easter than Carrot Cake Stuffed French toast? _ For the French toast you will need: •8 oz of yogurt or cream cheese. •4 oz. of melted butter. •8 eggs. •2 tsp of baking powder. •20 drops liquid monkfruit or 1/4 cup of @enlightsweetener. •15 drops of @oooflavors carrot cake flavor concentrate. •1 tsp of gelatin. (This is the secret ingredient for the flakey bread like crust.) _ Preheat your oven to 350°. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, and pour in your batter. Bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked thru. _ For the carrot cake filling you will need: •1 cup cream cheese. •1 cup heavy cream. •1/4 cup @enlightsweetener. •10 drops of @oooflavors carrot cake flavor concentrate. (Ingredient Tip: I love how well the Enlights Monkfruit sweetener blended into this cream filling. I got zero gritty texture from the granules unlike many other brands that I have tried. So that was a win for me.) _ Whip the ingredients together until smooth with a hand blender, or stand mixer. _ Once cooled slice up your French toast and fry it up in some butter until it is nice and golden. Pull the slices off the stove and let them come to room temperature before piping with the filling to prevent melting.
