“It is not ever necessary to struggle even when the circumstances are difficult.” —Advice from my intuitive guidance . It is interesting to see how there is a tendency to start struggling when It is not clear to me how I need to do things. This struggle consists of a form of desperation, almost like a little child that is overwhelmed because it doesn’t know how to do something. . Then after I finally found the way and did what I wanted to do I realize that there was no need for any struggle. I could have just worked it out with some trust, some confidence. 😅😂🤩 . It is an old childhood wound that created this pattern inside of me. But luckily my intuitive guidance keeps me on track. . I find it sooooo important to pull back and pay attention to this gentle guiding voice inside. . Do you feel you need a reminder from time time in order to pay attention to your intuitive guidance?🙋
Iron-rich nutrition helps your blood transport oxygen throughout your body and fuels energy-producing processes. Vitamin C helps increase iron absorption, so for optimal health benefits, consume foods that are rich in both, such as dark-green leafy vegetables or yellow bell pepper which is highest in Vitamin C. • • • 1. “rest and be kind. you don’t have to prove anything.” | jack kerouac postpartum looks different for everyone. for me, it has been about listening to my body, tuning in to the needs of both myself and baby, and making room for a whole lot of grace + letting go.
Do you cross-train? This year I've really stepped out of my comfort zone and tried different workouts like pilates and cycling. Not only has it been extremely fun, but I have also noticed a significant reduction in injuries and burnout 🙌🏻 Cross-training helps diversify the movement and muscles we use. For example, pilates helps me strengthen my core and glutes which is something I don't get much from rock climbing. Rock climbing helps me strengthen my upper back and arms which is something I don't get much in cycling...etc. However you decide to move, don't forget to give yourself the proper time to recover! One of the best ways to avoid injury and burnout is letting your mind and body rest when needed 😴
Is it ok to not have a plan? How many of you have felt the need to rebel to feeling over scheduled and over planned? How many of you have then felt guilty for just going with the flow, feeling like you were slacking off? It’s hard isn’t it, to find that sweet spot between having a plan and just allowing things to unfold! Timing, they say, is everything. I would agree with that. I am sure we have all learned at some point that you can not force things before they are meant to be. I would add however that we all can get better at sensing the timing of life. If we practice tuning into ourselves and connecting with the energy around us, we will get better at knowing when to plan and execute, and when to allow. The better you know yourself and the more you engage with and develop your intuition, you will find that your inner compass will become an efficient tool in sensing the timing of things in your life. I believe there is a time for all things; a time to plan and a time to just allow things to unfold. I think it is ok to be in either space and I believe we all experience both at different times in life. Personally I like having a rough plan in my mind so I am ready to seize opportunity when it presents itself. I know it may change, but at least I have a starting point, and that always seems to give me some comfort. Being patient while right timing shows up is the other part of the equation to master. I for one just keep reminding myself I am a work in progress, and that’s ok. #divinetiming#workinprogress#intuitiveliving#allowinglifetoflow#livingtobeme#patienceisavirtue#youareperfectnow#bethechangeyouwanttosee#loveyourself💕 #spiritualyou#lifecoach#spirituallifecoach#spiritualauthor
Wait... where ya going? ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Have you ever felt that way? Like when you need God most.. BAM! Silence. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s His version of “I’ll wait...” as He patiently sits next to us waiting for us to just ask for help and stop doing the boneheaded things we tend to do. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ He doesn’t walk away. He doesn’t leave our side. He just waits.
"Life is always moving, changing, shifting into its next shape. The movement is natural. It is how we evolve. Let the shifts happen. Take responsibility for yourself each step of the way. Trust the new shape and form of your world." @authormelodybeattie 🙏🏻 . I love this space and this community, but lately, for me, it has just felt BLAH. The colors, the message, the photos have felt kind of forced. I wasn't feeling inspired. I wasn't sure what the purpose was of this BRAND and my VOICE. I was in a little bit of a social media rut. This is my job and my lively hood and I want to make sure that I am speaking my truth.💗 . Another shift has happened, yet AGAIN 🤦🏼♀️...At 40 years old, I am still changing, still growing, and I love that. I am okay with that, because with change comes NEW inspiration and the ability to create new content, goals, and more self-awareness.💗🙏🏻 . It is a little bit heavy, but it is called life. For me, this shift is ALL THE GOOD STUFF and I love it. I love that I am intuitive and aware of it. And I love that I am able to write in this space about the things that I LOVE...Shannon, fitness, food, and our travels. Life is freaking amazing. It may not be always perfect, but I love it and I hope you will follow along for another shift and some changes and follow along on this journey. And if you don't want to, hey that is okay too. That's the beauty of social media, you can stop following at any time. 🙏🏻💗 . . . #lifeisgood#inspire#makemoments#littlestoriesofmylife#finditliveit#pursuepretty#iamwellandgood#wellnessblogger#mindfulliving#beherenow#intuitiveliving#beautifulhealth#selflove#goodvibes#flashesofdelight#raiseyourfrequency#creativityfound#choosejoy#joy#makemoments#liveauthentic
Most of us have one or two so-called “bad habits” we turn to in order to self-soothe when we’re stressed or upset. We might eat for comfort rather than hunger; bury ourselves in our work to avoid having to think; or shop mindlessly for things we don’t need. All different sides of the same coin: effective methods of relieving our emotional pain in the moment. I can’t underline this enough!! However much we may regret those behaviours when we’re in a better state of mind - they were the best we knew to do, to look after ourselves at the time. So the solution is not to beat ourselves up and fixate on fixing the habit. Our habits have a tendency to naturally reduce or fall away completely when we look further upstream. Namely: *Expanding our self-soothing tool box (so we’re not over-relying on one method) *Expanding our ability to sit with those uncomfortable emotions (so we’re less inclined to seek out the numbness that those habits offer) Practices such as journaling, mindfulness, breathing, dancing and getting into nature offer support on both counts. When it comes to changing habits, the magic is in compassion and understanding, not willpower and self-criticism. #sundaysoulbite
✨Do you use meditation 🧘♀️ as a business tool?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Your inner work space & landscape are so important to cultivate in your business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ OK 👌 here’s the thing. You can have the best front end in your business but if your inner landscape doesn’t match this, then it just ain’t going to align you to your soul tribe.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What do I mean?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You get the photos done, the branding sorted, your website is live & your content is gorgeous. And, these aspects really are important when you have an online business. Very important. They’re a piece of the pie, not the whole pie 🥧.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Inside you think you’re not good enough. No-one will like you or want to sign up with you & basically you don’t believe your s***.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It ain’t going happen. If that’s what you believe you can have the most beautifully designed online presence & the most well crafted content in the universe. But your tribe will know, on some level, that you don’t believe in yourself.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I utilise meditation as a tool🧘♀️kinda like journaling. I prefer meditation to Journaling. I also love 💗 to journal 📔 & both are high beneficial & essential tools in your business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Meditation 🧘♀️ assists with cultivating an inner landscape & mindset that supports you, your worth & your business.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A consistent daily meditation 🧘♀️ practice, just 5 to 15 mins is required. Consistency is key 🔑 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Allow yourself time in the morning to connect in &
Smiling because I survived one heck of a challenging week ✨ After lots of sicknesses here, I am so glad to finally feel more myself again and see our littlest smiling again. This winter, due to some diagnosed deficiencies, I have experienced a low immune system and therefore, have been getting sick regularly- before this winter, I hadn't been sick in years! To be honest, I have been pretty embarrassed about the state of my health, especially because I am working in the wellness space. But after a lot of thought and exploration, I have realised how important it is to share this message, because, I have been so sick this winter due to a number of contributing factors... 〰️Prolonged stress 〰️Pregnancy 〰️Breastfeeding for 14 months 〰️Prolonged sleep deprivation After seeing a holistic Doctor (who was incredible if anyone is looking for someone on the GC) she explained to be the dramatic toll pregnancy takes on a women's body- and mine wasn't running at 100% when I fell pregnant due to stress and being overworked. There's so much I can share and cover here, including learning about the symptoms of my deficiencies, I was blown away.I highly recommend getting your bloods run and looked at by a Doctor with a holistic approach to health- if I had my time over again, I would do this before planning to fall pregnant, to avoid passing on any deficiencies to your baby. Here's what I am currently implementing: ✔️No more oats or bread in the morning, I now start with 1 litre of water with lemon EO ✔️A protein smoothie with quality plant-based protein, berries and maca powder ✔️Taking quality magnesium and zinc supplements ✔️To improve my gut health, I am also taking a fermented super greens powder. ✔️Avoiding sugary and starchy foods ✔️Lean on my oils ✔️Drinking more water ✔️Only one coffee a day ✔️More sleep, less stress ✔️Yoga! Getting back into the flow of yoga is next on my priority list to tackle. If you are
