Beauty berries! This bush came with this property and when I became the owner, this bush was barely visible as it had been severely cut back. I had no idea what it was, and was amazed to see these berry sticks appear around the beginning of September. The bush is now huge and the “berry sticks” are plentiful. I basically ignore it all year long—don’t even water it 😬, and yet it thrives—my kind of plant!! #and_the_purple_crayon #heartfeltcreations_
Finally getting around to sharing some photographs of the Bridal Shower, we helped create a few weekends ago. It was so great to work with Clare @_peachesanddreams_ and so thankful she asked us to come on board 🌸🌿 #flowers#bridalshower

Stories are going on all around you. Stop and notice. Be curious. Listen. Make connections. _ When I'm out taking photos, whether I'm in front of or behind the camera, I often get curious people ask me what I'm taking photos for. Photography is a great conversation starter, and it's made me a lot of friends. This day in Brooklyn it allowed me to share with many new people about my business @taylorskyeflowers.

I’m holding onto summer.... I’m holding onto a lot of things actually that I probably shouldn’t be. I recently realized that I’m an obsessive ‘clinger’ and can’t let go of things. But most things come and go and that’s the way it should be. So as summer gives way to autumn I’m giving myself permission to let go. Of friends I’ve grown apart with. Of perfectionism. Of Instagram likes. Of the job I hate. Do you hold onto things or do you let go?

@simplybyarrangement Small boys and dogs..... Today it’s going to rain cats and dogs all day long - a typical British summer holiday here on the Fife Coast. Yesterday couldn’t have been more different. The sun shone brightly as @hedgerow and I-accompanied by the small boy and the small dog- took ourselves off for a rare summer afternoon @cambo_gardens . “It just makes me calm” observed Rachael as I stood stroking a pale mauve cornus eyeing up its potential for a new life in a bowl. I know exactly what she means. This place is like instant medicine. I see you can do yoga in the garden....I’m thinking I might go back and give it a go. But, to be honest, just an hour wandering around, wafting through grasses, watching little folk skip along the paths is all you need. I’ve never seen the garden in full summer before, and it’s bursting with colour and butterflies and bees. The next time we’ll both see it, the sun will be lower, casting that precious golden light across some more muted tones. There’s a whole hedge of Potentilla that we both love. Yesterday it was gold (some would dismiss it as ‘too yellow’) but we know that in just over a month’s time it’ll be a much more acceptable shade of mustard. Thank you @faymcb and the Cambo team for yet another magical afternoon. Today the small dog will refuse to move from the fire. I’m reading a good book and there’s talk of tea and cake in a posh establishment later on. And, of course I’m thinking of all those flower fettlers who might have weddings to deliver today.
