We all spend so much time on the go. If we are not working we are working out and pushing our bodies and mind even harder.  Sometimes you just need to take a step back relax and stretch.  Stretching is a great way of relaxing the mind and the muscles after working out.  My top advice would be adding a yoga class to your weekly schedule to help movement and function. Or spending 5/10 minutes after each workout stretching 😀  Have a great day people 😀

Many new clients of mine get in the habit of all movements being linear. When in fact almost every movement isn’t. Prime example being the dumbbell or kettlebell row. The most important aspect is not the specifics of a program or the details of a diet (though those are obviously important), but how you look at the situation. I don't mean in the sense that your mind is more powerful than what you do in the gym, although you'll need to have some self-discipline and commitment for obvious reasons. The main problem is that most people look at fitness in a warped, incorrect way. That's why they flunk, not because it has to be so hard in and of itself. What I mean is that you can't look at diet or exercise as a short-term ordeal that ends at some point when you aren't out of shape anymore. They must be seen as long-term lifestyle changes. That sounds kind of scary, but is actually not a big deal when you think about it, and once you start seeing results you will be motivated to continue.  Consider this: when people start dieting and exercise, they are often extremists about it. They try to work out 2 times a day, 7 days a week, or go on some crazy diet where they eat 500 calories composed entirely of herbal tea and tree bark. They hurt themselves or get sick or just hate life generally, and they fail. Then they get discouraged and get fat and out of shape again.  Was that a failure of willpower? Sort of, but the main problem is that the whole approach is wrong. It’s a simple fact: Guys want big arms. Just walk into any commercial gym and you’ll see a line of people standing in front of mirrors working on their biceps and triceps. Personally i only do 4 exercises with 8 sets in total for both biceps and triceps. That takes me less than 20 minutes.  Researchers from Norway found that performing legs exercises led to bigger and stronger arms than arms exercises alone over 11 weeks.  Make sure to blast your legs with heavy exercises like squats, deadlifts and lunges to elevate your anabolic hormone concentration. So when people ask me how to get bigger arms i will answer. Now read the below to understand what how yoga could benefit you and it’s up to each person to decide whether it is good for him or not in their fitness journey.  Takeaway: Yoga, like any exercise, burns calories , some forms more than others. A fast-paced, vigorous style of yoga, like Vinyasa or Ashtanga, will burn calories, than a slow, restorative class. There are moves that focus on the core ,such as plank, chaturanga, and boat pose ,that can help tone the abdominal muscles.  Yoga develops mindfulness in people and they become more conscious of how different foods affect your mind, body, which in turn help them  to resist unhealthy foods and comfort eating. Quality sleep is an important factor in weight loss. Yogis are able to fall asleep more easily and sleep more deeply  More than its aerobic and the muscle toning factor, experts credit a yogis' weight control to their mindful eating habits , they paid attention to what they ate and stopped when they felt full. In addition, yoga has been shown to help improve symptoms of depression.  Regardless of the above benefits, weightloss can only be achieved if you watch your calories. The basic principle of fat loss remans the same, calorie in < calorie out. Practising yoga cannot burn the fat and slim you down, if you eat more than what you burn.  If you are looking for a faster fat loss and strength building,  yoga is not your best bet. Experts advice incorporating exercise forms like HIIT along with yoga if you want to lose fat.
