#acl REHAB . Returning to hopping is an important step during the rehab process post ACL reconstruction . Here’s a progression we did with @lilly.orozco24 last week in preparation of her returning to jogging/running. Always remember, you must have then necessary prerequisites to move on to more advanced movement patterns. No guessing allowed! . 1️⃣ Skater Squat: this is included to emphasize how important single leg strength and control is. It’s a must! 2️⃣ Double Limb Jump Deceleration: feet stay on the ground and the focus is on grooving the movement pattern and not losing control 3️⃣ Double Limb Controlled Landing: now we add a mini hop to see if she can absorb forces with good weight acceptance and form 4️⃣ Single Limb Controlled Landing (not pictured) Same as number 3️⃣ but land on ☝🏼 leg instead 5️⃣ Double Leg Pogo Hops: now we add a more dynamic and continuous demand and see if the load tolerance and absorption remains 6️⃣ Single Leg Pogo Hops: same principles as the double leg, but we look too see how each leg absorbs force . 🥇 Rehabbing from an ACL reconstruction? I so didn’t want to go to the gym today, but I made it and put my best foot forward. Sometimes you have to give yourself a little pep talk and remember WHY you started and WHY you need to keep going.  You also have to remind yourself what will happen if this time you don’t give up and keep pushing - so that I did. I completed my first ever 60 floors on the stair master in just 15 minutes. Usuałly I can’t last longer than 5 minutes on the stair master but I got it done 💪🏻 I then did 30 mins on the elliptical, 3 sets of 12 triceps extension(50lbs), 3 sets of 12 vertical rows(60lbs), 3 sets of 15 Russian twists with a 10 lb weighted ball, 2 sets of 10 mountain climbers and 2 sets of 10 laying down twists.  Remember, you’ll never regret showing up.
