It pains me to say this but this just isnt Linwood Barclay at his best. I've always loved the way Barclay writes his fast paced complex stories but in all honesty this one actually confused me. There were so many characters I failed to keep up at times and had to backtrack and remind myself who was who, they just weren't developed enough to connect them. The story is slow going until you get yo the last few chapters, not as fast paced as previous novels. The whole plot idea was brilliant I just don't feel it's been pulled off sadly. It had the elements of a good thriller but in my opinion it had TOO many! On a positive note the ending was fantastic, just a shame the rest didnt live up to what I was expecting. 2.5* from me. You need a slick elevator pitch to give to people. You should aim for around 30 seconds or less. It may literally be when you're in an elevator and someone asks you what you do, but more likely it'll be on the phone or in person when time is against you and someone is busy and most likely sceptical. Write it down, get it clear in your mind, rehearse it to yourself, practice it with other and make it brilliant! If you can't sum up what it is you're offering and how it can help in around 30 seconds or less, then it's taking too long and people will lose interest or you'll simply run out of time with that opportunity. Face à face 해결해보려고 해도 10-12, 14-16h 제한된 시간의 RDV만 받아주는 벨기에 대사관! 찾아가면 "전화로 예약하고 오셔야 해요."라고 하시면서 전화하면 받지 않으시는 뺑이치기의 무한루프! 매일 밤낮을 VㅣZㅏ VㅣZㅏ하고 목놓아 울었더니 사대문 안에 유희열의 VㅣZㅏ요를 못 들어본 사람 없던 어느날, 당시 막 활을 쏘기 시작한 언니께서 연락을 주셨습니다: "히열, 여기 국궁장에 벨기에 대사관 차량이 와있어. 대사님도 오신 것 같아." 팽팽하게 당겨진 마음의 사위를 그대로 튕겨 날아간 100년 역사의 활터에는 들은 바 그대로 벨기에 국기색 꼬리를 단 화살들이 여럿 날아다니고 있었는데요. 과녁을 향해 날아간 화살들을 다시 활터로 올려 궁수 별 화살을 정리하는 시간에 빨노검 화살들을 미리 빼놓고 주인 분을 기다렸습니다. 궁수 분들은 보통 허리에 본인의 이름이 새겨진 궁띠를 두르고 계시고, 인왕상터를 오르며 찾아본 대사님의 성은 Bontemps이었으니 이미 제 머리 속 엘레베이터 아니 그 활터 피치의 시나리오는 완성이 되었습니다. 1. It affects your ability to network with colleagues, interview with potential employers, and attract interest to your research. 〰️ When I was a PhD student, my advisor had us practice elevator pitches about once a year as part of our group meetings. I learned a lot from that exercise, and I'm forced to write new pitches when I submit abstracts to conferences or apply for grants where I must provide a short summary of the significance of my research work. 〰️ Here are my quick tips for putting together your spoken elevator pitch: 〰️ 1. Focus on big-picture ideas, such as major challenges in your field or the types of skills an employer would most value. 2. Choose only a few details and really focus on them. 3. Don't get sentimental or talk about why you wanted to do xyz growing up. It tends to make people zone out. 4. Keep it in the range of about a minute. 5. Be CLEAR instead of being CLEVER. People are not impressed when they are confused. 6. Practice, practice, practice! Practice until you can deliver the pitch without rambling. 🖍 During the past couple days I had the chance to meet so many people and introduce them to Broke. It really gave me an opportunity to decide how best to get the message across. Here’s my 30 second explanation about Broke: • ‘Broke is a brand I started as a reflection on value. If we stop to think about what’s truly valuable in life, instead of money, we realize just how rich we are. Time, family, happiness, health are all things we hold dear and should put up on a pedestal instead of a paycheque. Our mission is to support and encourage happiness by working hard at doing what you love.’ • Many people are surprised to know there’s a deeper meaning behind a shirt that appears to describe a financial situation. People walk by, laugh and say ‘broke, that’s me!’ or ‘story of my life’. This is exactly the reason I want to challenge people to refine their definition of wealth. • I hope I encouraged even just one person to think about what being rich is all about. It’s admittedly a bit of struggle for me to put myself out there and be social, but I felt very fortunate to be able to share my brand with more people. • Chase the dream, not the money.

I suspect there are few questions that strike fear in the heart of a salesperson the way this question does. - But, in this incredibly competitive marketplace we have to be prepared to answer this question better than our competition. most of our competition doesn’t want to put in the effort To discover their uniqueness because it’s easier to just go along with what everybody else is saying. Their strategy is “I’ll just work harder and longer.” - The problem with this strategy is it is it eventually leads to burn out. - Take the time now to figure out something special and unique about you and your products and services and you will make your pitches a whole lot better and your life a whole lot less stressful. - Let me know the one thing that you think makes you unique/special.👇👇👇
