You don't need to sell everything. 👀 . . While having a good product assortment is necessary, having too many categories can be more work than it's worth. . . All too often, I see retailers in the launch & growth stages trying to sell it all. . . ...Only to be left with unsold inventory that they have to discount again & again. . . So, what are the categories that I suggest you skip? . . Shoes & denim. 😭 . . I know, I know. Those are fun freakin categories! . . But I'd hold off on stocking these items until you're well established, have a strong customer base, and are making consistent sales. . . See, both jeans and shoes come in a large run of sizes so you're often spending more on one pack per style than you would on a dress or shirt. . . Both of these products are difficult to shop online because your customer can't try them on. . . They need to be true to size. If they differ at all, you're going to have a disappointed customer and will deal with the headache of returns. . . Lastly, shoes cost more to ship and take up much more storage space than clothing. You may even need to purchase new shipping supplies to account for the size difference. . . It can be tempting to be a one-stop-shop for your customers, but in the beginning, it's important to weigh the risk & reward. . . But, now I'm curious!! . . Do you sell jeans or shoes online? What's your experience? . . Let me know in the comments 😊 . . 👖👢
Today is #nationalrainbowbabyday which is all about celebrating the babies born after a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. ⠀ ⠀ In Sept. 2007, I had an eight-month-old baby and attributed my fatigue to the constant nursing Ava was doing as she entered a growth spurt. After a couple of weeks, I knew something was up and was SHOCKED to find out I was expecting. Two kids was our plan.⠀ ⠀ A few short weeks later, I started bleeding and an ultrasound confirmed my worst fears—I was losing my baby. I was devastated. 💔⠀ ⠀ However, in Feb. 2008, my pain was replaced with a trepidatious joy. I was expecting another child. I begged God to keep this baby healthy. Nov. 4, 2008, I delivered my rainbow baby, Isabel. 💖⠀ ⠀ Infant loss is incredibly devastating. Mommas, my heart aches for you. I can only tell you that after the storm, the rainbow is amazing. 🌈 ⠀
It is funny how you follow one blogger or someone else who has their own online business then somehow you are ten feet down a rabbit hole you are not even sure how you got down. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It seems like your feed is full of lives you are emulating but you are not even sure you want to live. But you must have too because they are successful and you don't see yourself that way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You don't HAVE to want what they have. What if you could do part of those things and be happy making the same amount of money you already to but you are doing something you love. You may not work fewer hours but loving your life is a magical thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thrifted this book and what a great read! It delves into the habits of millionaires, what they put their energy into and how they spend. It emphasizes the importance of goals and discipline. Being wealthy isn’t all about making a lot of money. Your relationship with the money you make is important too. ✨ . . . . . . . . . . #financialgoals#careercoaching#careersuccess#lifecoaching#mindsetofgreatness#winnerscircle#successtips#jobtips#careerclarity#selfimprovement#quotestoinspire#quotesofig#quotesdaily#dreamersanddoers#hustleharder#careercounselling#financialsuccess#ambitionplan#ownit#ownyourlife#moneymoves#moneybag#securethebag
The busy tasks are comfortable to us, but they're not getting us where we want to be. Choose uncomfortable over comfortable, growth over safety, challenges over same-old, same-old. If you're short on time and want to grow your business, you need to do activities every day that will get you outside of your comfort zone. Ask yourself: Do I want to be comfortable or do I want to get outside my comfort zone and serve more? Do I want to be comfortable or do I want to grow my business? What are you here for: A) being comfortable, or B) growth?
Here’s one of the brand designs I’ve been working on this week, swipe to see the sketching and drawing process of this one! ➡️ . This week I took the design into illustrator to refine and add typography along with designing the other logo marks in the same theme and pulling everything together into a cohesive identity. . Kinesiology uses muscle assessment to tap into the wisdom of your body. It helps you to be able to identify the stressors and stories from your experience of life that contribute to your symptoms today. It assists you to find the best way to gently release them. Kinesiology can amazingly be performed via video call too, going with the truth that everything in the universe is connected and that energy can be felt even across vast distances. . In the first round of this branding we took more of a symbolic approach to the design and used some well known imagery from the energy healing world. However, we realised that for Kate’s clients, this is often their first introduction to an alternative therapy. They’re willing to try things that they don’t fully understand because they just want to feel different, but there needs to be some familiarity with the physical world they live in. . This is where the natural elements come in here and the typography nestled in the middle of the vines. It’s warm, tangible, familiar, and comforting. At the same time the spirals in the vines symbolise the energy of growth and transformation, nature unfurling. . The very last slide is the design from the first round that we decided was way to clean and impersonal. The vines flowing round the circle create a much warmer and grounded look that will feel reassuring to Kate’s clients. . Can’t wait to show you the finalised designs! 🍃 . #brandstylist#brandstyling#brandingdesigner#getbacktodesign#logoinspiration#welovebranding#branddevelopment#femalefounder#creativethinking#dreamersanddoers#creativepreneurs#seekinspirecreate#hersuccess
Let me tell you about my little secret... This liquid gold serum has been added into my morning and night routine and OMG!!!! Okay so if you’ve known me for quite some time. You know that I’ve been dealing with hormonal acne. YES! 😔 I had a lot of scaring and a lot of really bad inflamed acne around my jaw line. But, #rejuveniqueoil has helped my skin repair itself in so many ways! I would never ever ever go outside without makeup and now I do!
💰CHARGING FOR CONTENT💰You voted & I listened! Now this topic is going to be divided into 3 parts: WHY charge, WHEN to charge, and HOW/WHAT to charge. Today we’ll be tackling the WHY. . WHY charge? 🤷🏻♀️ It’s really important to understand why content creators should charge for their work. First reason is that brands and companies often want to take advantage of FREE MARKETING. Understandable, right? BUT social media marketing is predicted to grow even more rapidly, into an industry worth billions and billions of dollars in the next 5 years. That means it’s important and necessary for brands to target consumers through social media. That also means that content creators are more valuable than ever. By NOT CHARGING, you’re taking away the power you have in branding yourself and growing into an actual business. You’re literally working for free. And while it may seem great to receive free things, that’s not going to help you in the long run to make an income and it sure ain’t paying your bills!! . Also, you not charging impacts other content creators and even actual MODELS. I watched a video recently of real fashion models talking about how some fashion companies are paying them less because there are so many social media “influencers” who are willing to work for free. . . There are brands who have a very small/no budget for marketing but most, especially big name companies, should have an adequate budget set aside, specifically for advertising. That means that they are ABLE TO PAY YOU. If they can’t pay you, that’s totally fine and it’s up to the brand, but if you don’t want to work for free, don’t feel pressured to accept! . . The most valuable pearl that I want you to take from this is that: YOUR WORK IS VALUABLE. YOU are valuable!! Don’t be willing to work for free just because you feel like your “numbers are small” or because you feel inadequate! You have a voice and you have influence. Don’t let anyone tell
Someone read the income amount on my post yesterday, and posted a comment on my business page (I think it's since been removed) that it made her want to "throw her phone against the wall and scream" and that she is a trauma-trained therapist who makes less than that per year. I can't speak to what her intention was, but it did make me think about a few things I wanna share: 1. I think there can sometimes be a misconception that people getting paid handsomely for their work are part of a wave of get-rich-quick schemes on the internet and have no training. I understand that. Sometimes that's true. I had my bone to pick with the industry for a long time. AND, what people cannot see from the outside is how trained people are, or how long they've been doing the work they do. I happen to be trained in multiple modalities that are trauma-based / centered, and I've been in continued certified trainings for 10 years in the coaching / development / psychology space. 2. Mastering our craft is ESSENTIAL if we're working with other human beings, especially in an emotional capacity. To me, this means personal self-mastery (understanding our own emotional ecosystem) as well as mastery of how we interact / coach / relate to other humans. This isn't an overnight process. That's okay. Mastering our craft never really ends, does it? And, in my opinion, if we're making money for what we do, we should also always be deepening our mastery of what we do. 3. We never really know what came before people's perceived success, nor do we know what will come afterward. A lot of people don't know that I started my coaching journey 10 years ago and fumbled around for a long time. That's cool. We're all just where we are. 4. There are so many opportunities available to create a different life than the one we have, if that's what we want to do. We simply must utilize those opportunities. And that's not to say they're all created equal, but they are
