Everyone talks about Keto and Paleo and their 21-day sugar cleanse. ✨⠀ But this other way? It's the path that leads to lasting change, to peace with your body, to trust in yourself. ✨⠀ That’s not to say we can’t want to lose weight. It’s just a completely different way of approaching the topic. ✨⠀ The payoff of not dieting? You don’t feel like a failure all the time. You learn self-love from the inside out. Hands up if you eat produce in season! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 • Spent the day helping can peaches and jam with @nklarsen0714 and @paulaspendlove. • In season produce has the most nutrients and tastes so good!! This simple breakfast bruschetta is so simple to make: - throw some tomato in a pan with a little EVOO and cook til softened and a little charred -toast you favourite bread and top with tomato - add extras - bocconcini and rocket pictured. (Other extras can include feta, spinach, sautéed mushrooms, poached egg, goats cheese.....) Yumm! Gets you some extra veg in at breakfast time too. #recipe time - Pumpkin, lentil and chickpea soup. 3/4 small pumpkin- chopped into pieces, 1 can lentils, 1 can chickpeas, 2 -3 teaspoons stock powder, approx 1.5 cm square piece grated fresh ginger, 1/2 teaspoon dried coriander, 1/2 teaspoon dried cumin and about about 2-3 cups water (less water will make a thicker soup). Rinse and drain chickpeas and lentils, add all ingredients to a large pot and boil till pumpkin is soft ( I did mine in a pressure cooker, under pressure for 12 minutes). On the stove more water will evaporate so top up when necessary. Get a stick blender and blend until smooth. Add some parsley to garnish. This is what I call a camping meal ⛺️ 🥘 Veggie lasagna (I have regular lasagna too for those that don’t want the pine nut ricotta... @cassidyakeim ) • • Pine nut ricotta recipe: 1 cup pine nuts or raw cashews soaked 4+ hours, drained 1 cup almond flour  2-3 T lemon juice 🍋  1-2 T water 💦  1/2 tsp salt 🧂  Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth. Another weekend in summer, another day to eat tomatoes and bread. There is nothing quite like a caprese salad made with homegrown tomatoes on a warm afternoon. Couple that with fresh focaccia and really, I can’t think of anything better, except maybe ice cream! After waiting for what seemed like forever for our tomatoes to ripen we are finally enjoying them at just about every meal. This simple tomato salad capitalizes on fresh tomatoes and adds cucumber, mozzarella, and fresh basil. Completed with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and salt and pepper. This caprese salad is the perfect topping for fresh focaccia. Make that focaccia mouthwatering by rubbing it with olive oil and minced garlic prior to warming slightly in the oven. This combination is a perfect summer meal. We are trying to pack in as much summer as we can because I can already feel the weather starting to become more fall-like! Happy weekend! Felt the need for veggies and garlic tonight. Might have added a little too much garlic to this cilantro yoghurt sauce but it sure hit the spot! 1 cup of cilantro, 3/4 cup of plain Greek yoghurt, juice of one lime, juice of one lemon, 2 cloves of garlic and some salt and pepper in a food processor. 🍽🥦🍷

I've been BUSY! Like everyone I've been swamped between work, taking extra classes, trying to visit friends/family, going to the gym- I could go on.  Days like this my food gets really semi-homemade. This is an instant @bertolli_us meal with a carton of cherry tomatoes, a red pepper, frozen kale, and fresh basil added. It was done in 15 minutes. This year was the first year I had my own full garden. I have learned so much over the past summer and can’t wait until next year to start again! All the fresh produce makes it hard for me to want fall to come (even though it’s definitely my favorite season). But don’t worry I have Brussel sprouts growing so fingers crossed I will have a nice fall harvest!
A fancy weekend breakfast on my pretty plates. So happy to be surrounded with my favorite blue and white dishware😊 this morning I’m having some #hotleaves of kale on #glutenfree toast with turmeric black pepper tofu, hemp hearts and a peach. I always add black pepper to my turmeric to increase the bioavailability of the active anti-inflammatory compound in turmeric called curcumin. MEAL INSPIRATION 🍗🥗 🍠 ⠀ ⠀⠀ Baked Sweet Potato Wedges⠀ Roasted Turmeric Chicken⠀ Mixed Vegetable Salad w/ olive oil & lemon juice⠀ Avocado⠀ Hemp seeds⠀ ⠀ —⠀⠀ Sweet potato fries: cut sweet potato into wedges, toss very lightly with avocado oil, salt + pepper and broil in the oven, center rack, high heat for 10-14 min. Flip towards the end. ⠀ ⠀⠀ Chicken: drizzle baking dish with avocado oil and add about 1/2 cup chicken bone broth. Lay organic chicken breasts flat & season with salt + pepper, turmeric & herbs de province. Bake at 375 degrees F for about 25-35 minutes, depending on thickness⠀ ⠀⠀ Salad: mixed greens, cilantro, bell peppers, hemp seeds, avocado, cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, red chili flakes, salt + pepper

You’ll need to make a double batch (especially if you're sharing with others 👀!) . Pumpkin Morning Glory Muffins by Baker By Nature: 🎃 You can find the recipe at bakerbynature.com 🎃 This recipe yields 12, large muffins. You can also make 24 if you prefer a smaller portion size, but be sure not to overcook them! . Substitutions: ❗I used unsalted butter instead of coconut oil ❗I used 1/2 cup apple sauce instead of 1/4 cup because my batter was a bit dry . These muffins turned out wonderfully - they were fluffy, moist, satisfying and delicious! 🤤 . And did I mention they are high in fibre?
