I remember picking up my first organic chemistry exam and seeing that ugly, loud, C- circled in red. I remember thinking to myself throughout undergrad “there’s no way you’ll ever be good enough to get into anything else, just stay where you are, you’ll learn to love pharmacy”. I remember failing my first pharmacy school counseling practical, and wondering why I didn’t feel the same way about the field as my peers. . But I also remember late nights of laughing with my classmates. I remember going to countless office hours, spending weekend after weekend in the library, and slowly becoming a better student exam after exam. And I remember enlightening moments with the best mentors, and feeling the reward of mentoring my younger pharmacy peers in return. . My point is that the journey to the White Coat is not a Disney movie montage where the hero works hard to 1 motivational song and ends up straight where they wanted to be. The real journey to the White Coat is ugly and it’s long, and worst of all it’s scary and uncertain. But there’s also beautiful and happy highs in between. Be your own damn hero and stick through every moment, both high and low. Before you know it that white coat will be yours. Congrats to all the students out there getting their white coat’s these next few months. I can’t wait to see where life will take us next! (Swipe to see Baby White Coat Connie, before she ever heard of CYP3A4 or knew what first pass metabolism was 😂)
After years of stressful schooling to become an MD, dentist, pharmacist, etc. we enter a career with a skill in diagnosing and treating to have a successful career. But what about the aspects beyond the white coat? Since entering my career into dentistry I have made a daily commitment to strengthen myself in ways that were not taught in the classrooms, clinic, or ER. Join me on my daily journey of discovering and sharing new books, podcasts, songs, workouts, and meals that I believe can help us grow as a practitioners, as well as people.
If I could use one emoji for this case it would be 💄💄💄 (you’ll see why if you swipe ➡️➡️➡️) Very minimal tooth preparation was done on this case as seen in the first image. Slight gingival corrections were made on #’s 7 and 10. ————————————————————— Thanks to @mizrahiorthodontics & @drbonaiutodmd for the referral and the teamwork in even getting the patient to this stage from a complex occlusal scheme (midtreatment photo in slide 4) ————————————————————— Slide 2 shows the temporaries and the final porcelain veneers. As always in dentistry, 💰 play a role in treatment. We had settled on 4 porcelain veneers where we had to increase the width of our laterals slightly but @calvinmun71 And @jasonjkim_dentalaesthetics got the job done matching the color of the patients existing dentition and replicating the design the patient (big 🔑 here) liked. After all, that’s what really matters. ————————————————————— Slide 3, happy patient and lots of 💄💄💄

• My Happy Place Finally! Last time I went scuba diving was 2014! Been waiting a long time to have my chance to dive again. Diving is such an incredible experience, almost like flying through space. I got to see sting rays, lobsters, barracudas, among many other types of marine life. Incredible end to my visit to Miami.
Participe do nosso curso e receba o material completo sobre torques! https://solucoesortodonticas.eventbrite.com.br/ #dental#dentist#tooth#dentistry#solucoesortodonticas#smile#beleza#beauty#teeth#dental#kmortodontia#dentalstudent#ortodonzia#orto#orthodontics#wirebending#ortodontia#odontologia#ortodoncia#ortodoncista#sorriso#braces#ортодонтия
Being 14 inches lighter never felt so good! 💇🏻💗 . . . Donating money isn’t the only way to give back! There are tons of organizations that welcome donations of hair to be turned into wigs for those in need! I chose to donate my hair to Wigs for kids because they give the wigs to cancer patients at no cost to them! If you’re looking for a change and ready to chop your locks, please strongly consider donating them to help someone in need! 💇🏻💗
