I had the privilege of spending the morning with the insanely talented woman behind @erindorseyphoto. We "met" via the wonderful world of Instagram. I am huge fan of her work and I totally to connect to her story. We joke that we are living the same life. We both are running a photography while trying to mother 3 children under 5, in addition to having husbands that work a lot. We get each other on the crazy and the good stuff 😂 I am super excited to share a little sneak peak into our fun at-home session. Check my stories for a few more from this session. Can’t wait to share the rest 🙌🏻 P.S. This girl can design! Her house is INSANE!!! #angiewynnefamilies#angiewynnephotography
It’s not Adelaide’s birthday or Mother’s Day or any other milestone warranting an emotional unpacking about motherhood. This past weekend with Adelaide, we had a lot of time to sit at home and talk. She has a lot of big, important things on her mind and many questions. We covered a wide range of topics, with flaws on my end, no doubt. She asked about how babies are made (she still thinks there’s butter involved with the eggs). She asked about gender and how that played into things. She wanted to know more about death, specifically suicide and funerals. We talked about careers, marriage, and finally there was a moment that signaled it was the right time to tell her I was previously divorced. I’ve been nervous to tell her for a while, not wanting to rush it or make her feel unsafe in any way. She responded beautifully, simply, and straight out of a scene from This Is Us, where the kids seem a little too precocious for their actual age. She said it sounded like neither of us were really happy and I found someone who treated me well and who I treated kindly right back. All of these conversations took place while she jumped on the couch, taking everything in, but not slowing down for one second. I feel so lucky to have such an incredible friend and daughter in my life. It blows my mind that she’s only been around for 4 years (almost 5). Not to sound too Eternal Sunshine-y here, but it’s really hard to remember a time without her.
Sloooooowly but surely starting Amelia’s room. A toddler room, but also a room for us to play in and enjoy. Hopefully one she can grow up in and love! With the boys we coslept until just after they turned 1, then it was off to their little toddler beds. Amelia will be no different ❤️ @kikkiandfranki - thank you for making my mustard flower a reality🤣 I absolutely love it. These are the “Luna” flowers that they collaborated with @demilucasblog . Head over there to see the original flowers (and her super cute kiddo’s!) . . Also, if you have seen pretty dollhouses and dollhouse furniture, drop the company names in the comments below. Every girl needs a pretty dollhouse!🎀
