The difference shooting at 20 yards when my pin is off by 1 yard •••••• I was consistently shooting low at every distance, so I bumped it in to 20 yards. Left arrow pin is at 20, right arrows the pin was 21. It may not make a difference when the animal is 20 yards away, but what about 50,60,70 yards?? Taking time to make the micro adjustments can be the difference in the success of a hunt... and thankfully this is a fast & easy fix with my @spothoggarchery sight!

"The administration's new Endangered Species Act regulations undermine the act's science-based listing process, weaken protections for critical habitat, & turns a blind eye to the impacts of climate change. Overall, the new rules will make recovery of endangered animals and plants more expensive and difficult." - Jamie Rappaport Clark, President and CEO. Let's talk about interactions with wildlife. Moments shared with wildlife can be exhilarating but we have a responsibility to respect animals in their natural environment. I noticed this little mountain goat at the end of a trip perched upon a pock spire about 200 feet away. This area sees a high frequency of mountain goats and hikers and they seem to get along quite well. I slowly walked over to an adjacent ridge, sat down and allowed the goat to get used to me. Then, I took pictures from that spot which allowed safety for myself and the goat. We have been shown images of wildlife for a long time and people naturally want to interact with animals but often forget a major tenet. They are wild! Has the vision of nature that we have been fed through media disrupted wildlife too much? I've seen videos of people walking right up to bears, moose, bison, and rutting elk because they have been fed images where animals are docile and harmless, which is so far from the truth. A moose could stomp you to death if it feels threatened. There are no fences or cages to keep you safe. So next time you encounter wildlife think about them first. If you have respect, give them space, and don't get too close you could have a truly incredible experience that forms a deeper connection with our world. #outdoorphotographer#conservationphotography#conservation#canada#themountainiscalling#environmentalist#safeandfree#climatechange#environmentalist#environmentalscience#respect#wildlife#staywild#keepyourdistance
