Taking a few days off from work where I’ve been harvesting & planting veggies, building things and collaborating on exciting projects.... so that I can be home to catch up on harvesting & planting veggies, building things and collaborating on exciting projects. This morning’s haul of Genovese basil in the home garden barely put a dent on the mature row. I could hit it with a lawn mower and it would still bound back with a vibrant green and aromatic fury between the rows of tall corn & hot peppers. In addition to a pesto-palooza session later today I’m taking garden notes as it relates. Among the observations and visioning: allow the remainder to bolt & collect seed for next year, direct sow more in this regenerative soil along with potting up a bunch of spring starts and make available at our proposed roadside farm stand (among other offerings through the season).
