✅GOALS✅ My classroom experience is definitely transferring over to my coaching. We have our students set goals all the time, and we are constantly gathering data to help show progress towards our students’ goals. From my teaching experiences and my own experiences as a runner, it is SO important to write down goals and make progress visual for our students. Today my athletes completed a time trial to check in and see where their fitness is at. Tomorrow they will be writing SMART goals for the team and for themselves, including process goals, end of season goals, and short-term goals. Once they are done writing their first three goals, I’m going to laminate each copy so that they can write their goals for our “next meet” in dry erase each week. This will insure they are reading those long -term goals at least once a week to keep them fresh in their minds. 🏃🏻♀️ One of my goals this year as a teacher is to help my ELL students take ownership of their language proficiency goals by making their progress more visual. . . . #smartgoals#crosscountry#iteachell#coachinglife#babysteps
However; Both bring balance and increase positive mindset. It is important that we remain cognizant of what we put into our bodies. Enjoying is one thing but overindulging is another. One tip I can suggest is after you eat pay attention to how your body reacts. Do you get tired and want to sleep, or are you energized? Big tell tail sign there. I know that for us busy moms it can become a challenge to consume healthy foods especially if your always on the go. Second tip I can suggest is to do your best to stock healthy foods that are easy to prepare and meal prep on one of your days off. For me, since I don’t always have time to meal prep I use a meal prep company that creates clean meals. This way I am not compromising my health by grabbing unhealthy meals on the go. As you begin to be mindful of how certain foods make you feel you will begin to sustain enough energy to ensure you tackle all your tasks each day. Hope you have found this helpful. Something big is (maybe) coming. I got major news recently while at Wild Woman Fest. Life altering news. My husband and I had to make a deep decision very quickly. If you're on my email list you got a sneak peek into my heart about this already. And while we made up our minds...we now wait. Each day feels like it's "the day" we will find out the answer to this potential adventure. So we are in between this "we've got to take action now! This is all happening so fast" and "slow down. We don't know for sure this is happening". It's uncomfortable. And it brings opportunities for fear to pop up. Do we really want this? Is this a good idea? What the hey are we DOING? I wish I could tell you that I've met that fear with 100% grace each time. I can't. I can tell you, though, that I've learned a lot about navigating my emotions and surrendering the outcome and this is a whole new level. I feel like God was like "great work! Now for the next level..." And BOOM a major opportunity for growth (aka challenges) came up. And that's what this is. An opportunity. So we see the fear and move forward with love and and as much grace as we can muster. 🙌 I am not trying to be secretive. But I am holding this close to the vest for a bit longer so that we can face the final decision together and then share with the world. Over the past 6 months I've lost about 10lbs, 10 inches, and have been gaining confidence. • • I've also been learning how important nutrition and consistency is. And that is where I'm at a standstill. My nutrition is sort of all of over the place and in order to make big changes, I have to stay consistent in my on point nutrition. • • Next week I'm going to do a little refresh cleanse to give me the jumpstart I need and then go from there! I am so excited to be consistent these next 70 days of this program and see what I can really do!
