My husband was in charge of his company, Lyondell Basell's, Global Cleanup Day. The company and their families spent the morning and afternoon cleaning up the Freemansburg Canal Preservation. The preservation holds historical camps and field trips to and we helped clean up and set up for the school season all morning and afternoon. It was a great day for some outdoor volunteer work! So proud of my whole family for being a part of this. #global#cleanup#environment#pollution#preservation#historical#canals#waterway#ironmill#charity#volunteers
Today we spent the morning with Friends of Ballona Wetlands, for Coastal Cleanup Day along the Ballona Creek. Of course I had to rep @newfireworld, the sustainable festival I'm associated with back home in 🇹🇹 . Yesterday my colleagues joined in on the Student's Climate Day Strike in downtown L.A. #healtheworld#makeitabetterplace#ecosexy#cleanup#newfire
Let’s do this thing called volunteering. It’s National Coastal Cleanup Day. As promised here are some photos of us as we cleaned up around a local canyon & some goofy ones of us too. We did pick up some typical trash stuff but also found a lighter, a denim jacket, plastic utensils, styrofoam containers (they will never biodegrade), and rubber coated wires, cigarette butts & broken bottles. Someone else in our group found a rusted bbq grill, another found a very bald tire. Now how did these things get there?? We feel great about the work we did over 3 hours & hauled (I’m not sure how many) pounds of trash from the canyon. A place that’s home to foxes, squirrels, deer, rabbits, birds, rattle snakes, coyotes & even mountain lions. Trash left here is very harmful if eaten by the wildlife and some of it even makes it way downstream via the rivers into the ocean. We really must as a human race do a better job of keeping these places clean. (Ps - my daughters thanked me for bringing to the canyon today to do this special project. These kids are part of the future - so you can imagine how proud I am of my girls today! VERY!! )
#1.4 Marking an end to one exhilarating chapter in this circle of life I profoundly call Fashionably Responsibile! Like every journey the Beach Clean Up Project was extremely special. It not only marked a new beginning but also a key milestone of redefining the known. For the longest time I held on to the fear of acceptance , only to realize that all along what kept me from venturing on this journey was me. If theres anything you owe yourself is - Trust. Your responsibility towards yourself is far more than that for the society. Today trust yourself enough to take care of the choices you make even when they go wrong. You'll never be too sure about them anything unless you try. Would love to know your feedback on the first series! Which topic should I cover next?🤔 . . . Thank you @asbbtrust for your support and @rohit.12 for bringing the thought to life. #thegirlwhodaredtodream#instagramer#vouge#instafashion#socialforacause#socialworker#sustainablefuture#instaart#marketing##sustainablefashion#wastemanagement#plasticfreeoceans#plasticfreeliving#wastefreeliving#indianfashionblogger#vouge#instadailyphoto#instagramer#vouge#instafashion#socialforacause#socialworker#sustainablefuture#instaart#marketing#india#beach#cleanup#photo
Did you volunteer today, for World Clean Up Day? I did! And I had a great time. I actually went plogging: jogging and picking up trash with @ikeausa @clifbar @decathlonusa and a great bunch of people. My favorite part was seeing the kids participating, they truly are our future and we need them to care about the environment/planet and make meaningful changes to help reverse what generations before them have done to pollute the planet. We may not have known exactly what harm we were doing, but now we do and we can do better and teach our children to do better too.
What would happen if everyone picked up at least one piece of litter on National Cleanup Day? Let’s all make a difference on September 21st and help make Mother Nature proud. #cleanup#nationalcleanupday
World Cleanup Day ♻️ This time in Luxembourg Ville, picked mainly cans (coca-cola, redbull, heinecken..) and water bottles. It's so hard for me to understand how can there be still people that actually throw their trash deliberately in the middle of the street... I always saw Luxembourg as an educated and civilized country, but from what I saw today, unfortunately I was wrong. I won't let this country change my lifestyle, but it's so frustrating going to the supermarket and see that basically every veggie and fruits are packed in plastic - from cucumber, carrots to apples and tomatoes. I'm just going to try to live as most sustainably as I can, and hopefully change some minds around me... #worldcleanupday#courageiscontagious
