You close your eyes, the speckled light from the evening sun warm and heavy against your lids as you squeeze them tight and feel the skin fold and forgive around your eyes. It’s quite possible that things aren’t easy. Days ringing you dry, causing intense emotions to arise, along with the feeling that you’re just not moving in the direction you wish to go. And expectations are lost as soon as they’re set, chest tightening when you think of moving through another day with anxiety such as this. But this moment, with the warmth from the sun, the lightness of the air against your skin, and the grass soft against your back, is everything. And to your surprise, you find yourself enjoying it fully and without the weight of your day and your overworked mind pulling you away. Reminding you that: These are the moments worthy of wrapping up and saving for later. These are the moments that allow you to show up no matter the circumstances. Thank you @sarahelizamcmillan for sharing this sweet photo with us & for letting me put words to it. You make this community (and the world) significantly brighter. And might I add, you make our Continuous Tee look mighty fine (I think it was made for you). You can get yours by heading to the link in our bio. PS. The graphic is designed by @jenny.oneill.art 🌼
I started Forest Culture 4 years ago today! It’s become a little tradition of mine to post a piece of art each year based on the number of years that we have been open. This year I decided to fill the number 4 with little bits of all the new designs we have been releasing this year, and I got to incorporate watercolor, acrylic, gold ink, and of course kraft paper! It was fun to bring them all together in one design! I hope you enjoy it!
Tell me something… What does art mean to you? And by art, I don’t mean a painting only because art is in the little things. Art is in the big hugs, in the silence, in your favorite song, in a sweet kiss, in your best childhood memory, in the rain, and under the sun. What is art? (To be continued...)

“I promise you that the same stuff galaxies are made of, you are. The same energy that swings planets around stars makes electrons dance in your heart. It is in you, outside you, you are it. It is beautiful. Trust in this. And you your life will be grand.”-Kamal Ravikant
