“DDH Bloom” 6.7% Double Dry Hopped India Pale Ale by @parishbrewingco w/ Citra & Nugget Hops • Acquired through @tavour I REALLY like this beer. The non-DDH’d Bloom was a favorite of mine too, but I’m really digging this DDH’d version. If you’ve had Spring by @treehousebrewco , which I have, then you know what’s going on here. This beer is like spring in a bottle. It’s %100 juicy, but then it’s also floral and piney and perfectly bitter. You get the floral and fruity notes as soon as you open one of these. The flavors are sharp pineapple, orange pith, grapefruit, white pepper, pine and a slightly resinous finish. There’s definite bitterness here, but it’s very nicely done and balanced with everything else. This isn’t a thick sipper but the mouthfeel is still soft and smooth. This is a treat. I highly recommend this tasty REEB. Thanks to #tavour for making it available! #mrreebs#reebs#parishbrewing#ddhbloom

Photo circa 2018 when people with corporate jobs had a shot at coping @holymtnbrewing beer during Friday releases. Just kidding it’s from today and NOPE I didn’t get any bottles, it appears from their story I would’ve had to be there by 11 for that to happen. Since I was already on-site I snagged a taste of the Coffee/Coco/Van Variant 📸🔝. I want to really like it but the more I think about it, the more the reality that this beer was too sweet sets in. Sure it’s smooth AF and hides the 13% heat flawlessly. Sure it’s liquid dessert and sure (read: fine🙎🏼♂️) it’s a great beer, but I hope the Maple Wood 🔥 Pecan variant had a little less sugar and a little more nuance. I might be jaded by the incredibly high fuck that LEGENDARY bar set by last year’s Hazelnut Cacao and Coffee Cardamom variants, but I would have gone with 1/5 the vanilla used in this batch for a few reasons. The 🥥 and vanilla overpower any traces of coffee in my opinion, and a small amount of vanilla could have complimented and added depth to coffee & coconut without nearly drowning out both flavors with its sweetness. I’ve always had a hunch that a beer doesn’t need both vanilla and coconut and so far this hypothesis holds true. ⭐️🍺 3.85 (Very good) on @untappd. What was your take❓Anyone try the toasted pecan variant⁉️
