♾ WHAT ARE NOOTROPICS? ♾ Excuse the generic pic of the fake-busy fitness man tapping away on a switched-off mac, I hate myself for that, but let me illustrate a point here. Nootropics are probably my favourite group of compounds, because they are the ones that can contribute to your life more tangibly than any other. -  Nootropics are smart drugs essentially. They’re classed as anything that alters mood, alleviates anxiety and affects cognitive function. People often think stimulants like modafinil are nootropics, but that compound just provides the illusion of increased acuity through frenetic energy. Its a dopamine reuptake inhibitor that acts on the same dopamine transporter as c.o.c.a.i.n.e. Not a long term solution then. -  True nootropics provide a quiet expression of focus and clarity. You sit down to work and five hours will pass and the sun will go down before you realise you haven’t taken a break. For someone like me who probably had ADHD, thats a miracle cure for productivity. Thought processes become as fluid as a rolls royce purring down an empty highway. You think in new creative ways and your internal horizons expand dramatically. -  That last point is the most important. If your reality is the product of your mind (not in the solipsistic sense where life is a simulation), then investing in the technology to refine that central asset is probably the wisest choice you could make. Build your mind, build your life. I absolutely believe that I wouldn’t be in the financial position I am today if I hadn’t starting taking nootropics. Effektiv vægttab/-regulering kræver tålmodighed, vedholdenhed og et ønske om varigt at ændre gamle vaner til nye livsfærdigheder.  Det vigtigste er uanset hvilken tilgang du vælger at være i et kalorieunderskud. Mindre energi ind. Hvis du var en bil og hverdag året rundt tankede 15 liter brændstof, men kun brugte 13 liter vil tanken løbe over på et tidspunkt. Samme end for mange kalorier... Det næste vigtige punkt er søvn. En dårlig søvn gør det svært dels at tabe sig, dels at bevare vægttabet.  Vægttræning er på en 3. plads over hvad der tæller i forhold til vægttab og fastholdelse af det. Mere muskelmasse er uhyre vigtigt i den sammenhæng.  Nr 4 er cardio/kredsløbstræning. Dels som rent energiforbrug, dels som forbedring af konditionen.  Det er ikke helt lige meget hvordan du "angriber" din fremtidige vægtregulering og der kan Biogym være din hjælp. Sundays are for sleeping in... 2 hours of REM sleep & 2 hours of deep sleep. I use my @ouraring to track the various sleep stages of sleep. The amount of deep sleep and REM sleep makes a big difference in how I feel the next day. @busy_superhuman • • • • • • How to prevent over eating  There are no calorie receptors in the body and it relies on hormones to know what to do with the food that comes in and when to feel full 🍤🍖Meat or fish will stimulate PYY (peptide YY) which promotes sateity. Its really hard to over eat meat and its satiating. Also not many people binge on tinned tuna 🥥Fat such as butter, oily fish, coconut oil, 90% chocolate, olives will stimulate cholecystakinin. (I cant imagine anything worse than overeating mackeral) 🥚🥑Eggs, avacado + other things stimulate GLP-1 (glucagon like peptide). The anti obesity / type 2 diabetes drug Saxenda is is a GLP-1 agonist (stimulator). As GLP-1promotes satiety as well as having beneficial effects on the pancreas and insulin resistance. 🥒Fiber will stimulate the stretch receptors which give a feeling of 'fullness', so I made some pancakes out of teff flour which is about 50% fiber, but is nice too. That time I was musing on the whole idea of #opium, as a flashback from my helping him with his homework 7 years ago, & back then I thought I didn’t want to deal with DNA/RNA shit ever again, until LOL, lo & behold, I ended up becoming a #certifiedmedicalintuitive, anyway, the following year. 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ SIGH, Universe.  This is what science #quizbee nerds do for #smalltalk, & I love my #virgo brother for making science & politics sound fun over meals every time. #marsinscorpiokids  Anyway, the moral of the Story is, I love how he found out more about the Theta brain state via YouTube, & I explained to him that’s my job (because, remember, he  was our brief accidental volunteer = guinea pig in one of my #advanceddna classes in 2016, & yet I didn’t explain to him in full what was going on, but he did feel like we were ”hacking through his DNA,” OMG LOL)  Back in the day I suffered from #cultureshock because outside Home I was made fun for being smart, LOL, but we all fit right in once I was with my kid sibs again. Nevertheless, it was fun getting medals & trophies for quiz bees x spelling bees x essay contests all the way to college when I could, even if I really wasn’t an honor student in high school, woohoo.  I love smart cookies as company, & I love learning from others every time. I’d rather die than get bored with meaningless conversations, too, btw.  Anyway, long leisurely day with him ahead.
