I had read a lot about this Michelin-starred restaurant and couldn’t wait to try it out. A big plus was that they allowed toddlers. _ This is a #vegetarian only restaurant. We went with the chef’s menu and I liked 3 out of 5 courses that were served. _ It was a typical fine dining experience - dim lights, adequate time in between courses and extremely creative dishes. _ What does this mean for people going with babies/toddlers? My son did well for the first couple of courses - enjoyed his beet dish and savored one of my courses BUT lost his patience soon after. When dining out with toddlers, the best practice is to keep it short, go to a well lit place and preferably one with windows, so they can peek out when bored. This place isn’t catered to those needs and it didn’t even have a high chair. _ It’s great for date nights and definitely worth trying out but please don’t take your babies/toddlers along. #berlin#berlinfood#finediningberlin#toddlermeals#berlinrestaurant#toddlerlife#finedining#cookiescream#cookiescreamberlin

[𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗡] 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗼 - 𝗢𝗸𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗸𝗶 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿⠀ 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹: 𝟰.𝟰 / 𝟱⠀ ⠀ Food: 4.5⠀ Atmosphere: 4.2⠀ Service: 4.4⠀ Price: 4.3⠀ ⠀ Food we ordered:⠀ * Okonomiyaki Osaka⠀ * Karaage (Japanese fried chicken)⠀ * Gyoza⠀ * Red beans ice-cream⠀ ⠀ We have been looking for a place to eat Okonomiyaki in Germany for quite awhile! We found Harapeco on a foodie map for Friedrichshain, the moment we saw it, we said thats the place we want to go. ⠀ ⠀ For those who don't know what Okonomiyaki is, it is a Japanese savory pancake that is originated in Osaka. There are many toppings one can put in his Okonomiyaki, after all, the word Okonomiyaki means 'grilled as you like'. ⠀ ⠀ Harapeco has meat, seafood, and vegetarian option. This time we decided to go for the meat option, which is the pancake top with some pork. The pancake itself is made of shredded cabbage, flour, egg. There are a few different sauces you can choose, and we decided to give the original and miso sauce a try. We also order some of our typical favourite appetiser - Karaage and gyoza to go with the Okonomiyaki. ⠀ ⠀ The taste of the Okonomiyaki and other food are just amazing! The flavor and the sauce are a really good combination. Originally we planned to order some matcha ice-cream but they ran out of it, so we ordered a red bean ice-cream instead. The ice-crean isn't too sweet and it's full of red bean flavour. ⠀ ⠀ We are really happy to find our Okonomiyaki place in Berlin (and probably the while Germany!) We will for sure be back next time when we crave for some Okonomiyaki. ⠀ ⠀ *New Post every Saturday, follow us to discover more restaurants in Hamburg. ⠀⠀ ⠀ *Disclaimer: Everyone's taste and experience could be different, this is just based on the visit we had and our personal opinion.
