I started and finished this on the weekend and am a bit torn on how I feel about it. It was really easy to read but the first half wasn’t really my thing and I did nearly give up! The second half was a super important read on mental health, so I really valued that - also a great example of an unlikeable protagonist my goodness! Overall I think it’s a 3.5 star read for me!

Alas, I don’t think my books will survive quite that long, but having a booksleeve definitely helps protect my reading material when I’m on the go (which is more often than not)! I purchased this beautiful sleeve from @alwaysept, and I love it! The quality is great, and the fabric selection amazing—I can confirm this one DOES glow in the dark! Best of all, it can hold some pretty thicc books! Use my code “HOLLI10” to save 10% off your orders! — 💬 #qotd: What’s the oldest book you can remember reading? I realize this could be answered multiple ways. The oldest book I’ve read is probably either Bambi or Winnie-the-Pooh, but in terms of books that are old simply because I read them when I was little: dozens of those Little Golden picture books! #reppost#booksleeves#bookishmerch#alwayssept#dinosaurs#jurassicpark#velociraptor#book#booklover#bookstagram#bookstagrammers#readersofinstagram#beautifulbooks#readersofig#bookishcanadians#bibliophile#totalbooknerd#bookaholic
❤️📚❤️📚❤️📚❤️📚 Wolf’s Mate by Jennifer Hart 5/5 Wolf’s Mate is the third book in the Unseelie Court series. This is a phenomenal story that goes back and fourth all over the place as well as among the characters, which have grown in number. The world of the fey is in the crosshairs, time is of the essence and timing is crucial. This world on the other side of the Veil is vivid, the courts are tangible and the characters are devious...even the good ones. I saw a different side of Wardon that made me almost like him and, perhaps, a touch of respect but I wouldn’t trust him any further than I could throw him. Then there is Soladin and his consort, Taj. I love Taj. He won my heart. He has compassion, uncommon depth and insight. “Many don’t recognize the soul’s cry. Even the ones who do might fear rejection too much to ever act on it.” The Bard. I felt...there were no words of comfort or consolation to give him. I loved reading about Nic and Aiden and their relationship. I could feel it blossoming and hear the soul’s cry. A love story for the ages. But is it too late? Wolf’s Mate is powerful, compelling and intense. It filled my senses. It grabbed my heart and ripped out my soul. I said this once before and I will say it agin. Celeana and Sarah J. Maas move over. Niceven and Jennifer L. Hart have arrived. Bravo! Well done, My Queen Storyteller! Wolf’s Mate comes out September 6th. Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of Wolf’s Mate. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to the finale of this Unseelie tale with Into the Fire due out October 29, 2019. #wolfsmate @authorjenniferlhart #authorjenniferleblanc#unseeliecourt#nicandaiden#bookreview#bookreviews#bookreviewer#myphotos#instagramphotography#lookthroughmyeyes#myview#throughalens#havecamerawillshoot#kickasswoman#novelheartbeatcreations#yafantasyseries#ireadyalit#beautifulbooks
Looking for a magical element that will transform your cooking? Maybe it's sour... Mark Diacono (of River Cottage) thinks it could be. He sets out to demystify the flavour in his beautiful new book, on the shelves right now. . "From cheese to vinegar, throughout the centuries we have deliberately let – and even encouraged – food to go sour to enhance its flavour. Sour foods have never been more fashionable, with the spotlight falling on foodstuffs as disparate as Belgian sour beer and Korean kimchi." . Also beautiful - and perhaps your key to new adventures in the kitchen - is Super Sourdough. James Morton, also a well-known chef and author, has produced "the new, accessible handbook that bakers everywhere have been waiting for". . Two great choices for this #fridayfeasting!
