Five years ago I had a dream that woke me up in the middle of the night. It was such a cool concept that I wrote down as much as I could remember before falling back asleep. Over the next few years I built on those midnight scribblings to create characters and a plot. In January of this year I finally decided it was time to start writing. And today I finished it. My first novel. There’s still A LOT to do before it’s ready for anyone to read but finishing my first draft is such a huge step and one that I am incredibly proud to have finished.
I am sitting under a spruce tree writing poetry and watching the kids spinning the remainder of their childhood away. Not too many years left to play innocently in the sand before doctrine demands you become profitable. #poetry#amwriting#writingcommunity
You can’t know where you’re going if you don’t know where you’ve been. This #pitchwars prompt was as honest as it gets but the truth is all addiction gets to a point like this if left to its own demise. It may not be the same scenario, but it’s all the same sad story. Word?
#findingthegray2019 Day 1: Describe a side character from your story. ————————————————————————- Ok, so Levi is more of a secondary protagonist than a side character, but he needed more definition in my mind than I’ve had of him. So I chose him for this challenge. Plus he’s kind of important. 💛😇 ———————————-—————————————It is a long journey from Elysium to the tiny blue planet he serves. He comes with the knowledge of a thousand years of training as a Sage class messenger. He’s spent the past millennium repairing dimensional damages left by the gods. He has repaired split timelines. He’s traveled between dimensions. He’s unbridged time space portals that never should have met. When the Archangel hands him his mission, it seems beneath him. Guardian angel work is not fit for a messenger trained in matters of Enlightenment. He’s given the mission of protecting seventeen year old Elyse Norris, who, to make things even more stifling, can see beings dwelling in any vibrational frequency, including messengers in their natural form. Messengers don’t normally spend much time in their Echo (human form) but his mission requires him to stay in Echo at any cost if he’s not going to break taboos. But nothing on Earth is in order, and even the angels are not immune to the chaos. What has worked a million times no longer does. Energy doesn’t flow in the ways it should, as free wills are broken and angels are falling and dabbling in taboos. Who’s behind the chaos? Levi must figure out how to stay true to his mission, while still taking on what he thinks is more important: attempting to solve what no other messenger seems ready to solve.
Busy Sunday morning 🌤 It’s been so hot lately, I’m definitely ready for Autumn to kick in. I need candles, rain, leaves, scary films, oversized jumpers and fireworks...🙈🍂 Although if I had to order the seasons from best to worst I’d go: 1. Winter 2. Autumn 3. Spring 4. Summer I really dislike Summer with its bugs and heat but I adore Winter with the snow, cosy food, Christmas music, lights and joy ☃️ . What about you? What order would you put the seasons? 🌤
in the land of €3 bottles of wine that taste like heaven and have definitely already picked out the villa I’m going to buy • Eventually I’ll start writing again but right now I’m going to sit on this porch, drink wine, battle mosquitos, and watch the stars come out.
This is my mint choco setup for last week's spread. It's 2am now, starting the last week of August, and I haven't even started planning yet because I was out with friends this weekend 😩 Should I just create boxes again, but this time, without any color or drop shadows? As long as it's functional, right? 😂 📒 journal from @zimo.ph 🔗
