Our tour was filled with amazing light and ever changing scenes! Yet the third image reveals the sad state of things; pay attention and you will notice a couple of waterfalls! That’s evidence of melting ice!
This Other Side For some reason, I can’t stop staring at this picture. And no matter how much time I spend studying images of “Cathedral,” its size continues to impress me. Its personality changes with every corner turned. This other side shields the void that exists after its middle section calved. You would never even know a mass was missing if you hadn’t seen it to begin with. But I did see it. And it was beautiful. Forever in this still, it’s still beautiful. But it possesses a fleeting pride. One that will disappear, whether through a slow melt or a thunderous crash into a million pieces. Either way, it will happen at its own pace as the current carries it to a place of finality.
Ce soir, une sortie dans le fjord d'ilulissat au milieu d'icebergs géants ! 15% au dessus de la surface et 85% sous l'eau, sachant que les + hauts rencontrés ce soir faisaient deja 400m de haut... #arctic#legoutduvoyage#lehavre# croisiere
