🚨 Daily Stan Reminder 🚨 Y’all can fight all you want on stan socials and continue to call Miley a flippity flopity floop- but Miley Ray fucking Cyrus was busy literally redefining what it means to be a rock star with her genre bending sets. She literally killed it at Glastonbury this year and delivered a performance that put headliners to shame while snatching wigs off every music snob who doubted a twerking foul mouthed pot smoking hillbilly could enter-fucking-tain and be worthy at Glasto . Y’all be throwing streaming numbers fresh from your streaming bot farms in China while Miley-unbothered and above the white noise literally cemented herself as an untouchable icon. Legend tings. Check out her performance from #linkinbio !

A new mix has gone live on my @mixcloud, recorded back in 2011 at the @beathotel In Glastonbury. It’s a festival set with far too many spinbacks (you can clearly hear when the brandy started kicking in mid set) but it also features an edit I made of ‘Vertigo’ (in this clip) which I completely forgot about. You can stream the full set via the link in my insta story or bio. . I’ll be uploading a new set every week, each Monday morning at 10am GMT. A few have been previously released but since disappeared offline, and some up online for the very first time. Follow my Mixcloud profile for instant updates. There’s around 20 mixes up there already, spanning from 2002 to present day. Many more to come. . #erolalkan#dj#live#set#djmix#beathotel#glastonbury#2011#2manyspinbacks @alan_braxe @armandvanhelden
Reminiscing Glastonbury, a beautiful week spent with such beautiful people. I’ve took a bit of time away from this page during summer whilst I was catching up on some university work. Now heading into third year, this page will be back in action soon with some exciting news. Catch ya soon 💋 xox
A project about home has been skittering around in my head and heart for a long time now. The concept came quickly - I could feel my growing worry that there was a lack of cohesion between self and place. And maybe their should be. Maybe we have tried too hard to define ourselves by what plot we are from or in. I had certainly always done that, but something was shifting and cracking. I could feel it in myself, my community, nationally, and globally. But what could I to use to deliver a process or message about feeling home in yourself and not just a location? What encourages people feel landed and connected even if they’ve just arrived or if they have never return? What could speak of heritage and longevity but also be something that demonstrates how transient and movable a thing like home can be? What is used to show off identity but also to communicate and encompass others? For me: a flag. The little piece of fabric that can say EVERYTHING about who we are when we fly it, but something that we can take down, move, travel with and pack away if we wish. Definitive and yet impermanent, representing our attachment to locations that are by their very nature always changing. I decided I wanted to make flags that reminded people of their contribution to an area of a moment. Something to signal (another thing that flags are known for!) that they have a place and that in time others did/will too. Ever since the idea of flags presented itself, I have seen them everywhere. Summer festivals, African tribal war flags, protests, pride. A supple and silent way to speak to another person in the distance.
Special woman. Kenyan Kween. I still own that top you borrowed! Miss you. Wish we had more conversations, more laughter. You remain a big sister and we’ll get to know each other more as the years pass. I’m committed to having a conversation with you tonight. Love you Anne Kiluu Mbondo
What a night and what a day.. finally making plans for our wedding. And got to see the site back as working dairy farm. The hospitality and experience we have had the last two days has been incredible. Roll on next June now!! 💙💙 @akeano84 @thelovefields #glastonbury#wedding

As if general life anxiety isn’t bad enough Glastonbury tickets go on sale next month. I’m scared. If I don’t get a ticket I’ll die. Lol jk I’m a scouser and we bunk in everywhere anyway. Can’t wait to be back on the farm with my ones 🎪🌀🍄
