Even though I was delayed 6+ hours getting back to Chicago, and I have a 3 hour drive home to Platteville ahead of me, I got to observe the most gorgeous sunset I’ve ever seen. Best welcome home yet 😁
We made it back to LA finally. But it was another banner day for #americanairlines. Our first flight was canceled with a vague promise to rebook us when they could. Then the website rebooked is to Santa Anna instead of LA. We finally go that straightened out and got to the airport where there was a massive thunderstorm that shut down all of O’Hare needless to say the flight was delayed for 5 more hours, doled out in increments of an hour at a time. So I made a film of the experience while waiting... Enjoy!
“Remember the days you prayed for what you have now”. Sitting in the airport & had this thought. I looked down at my phone & saw the date-August 18,2019. & I thought wow it’s 2019 what was I doing 2 years ago or even 4 years ago on this day? I remember 4 years ago I was coming back from Italy, celebrating my birthday at brunch in nyc with some of my best friends & I remember having my first day of “work” at one of my first part time jobs the next day. I remember being up all night because a day after drinking we all decided to get empanadas and my luck I got sick 🙈 lol TMI but I think it’s so funny all the small details we remember. And that little part time job helped me find my passion for occupational therapy & now here I am 4 years later finishing up my last week of my 12 week clinicals & coming back from one of my dearest friends bachelorette party who I met in OT school 🥰 It’s so amazing to look back on the small moments, the laughs, the tears & all the moments in between that got you to where you are now. Idk I think it’s pretty cool how it all kind falls into place...Just a lot to be thankful for yanno? Things you once wished to have you worked for, prayed for & achieved all different milestones to get to where you are now. Always remember the times you prayed for what you have now💛✨ Xx - #livelifeontheveg . . . . . . #airportdiaries#iamwellandgood#intentionalliving#mindbodyandsoul#mindbodygram#mindbodygreen#redbicycle#selfdevelopmentjunkie#raiseyourvibrations#selfmagazine#selflovespo#bekindtoyourself#healthmagazine#mindbody#popsugarfitness#allaboutperspective#sundaygratitude#gratitudequotes#gratitudejournal#gratefulheart
I'm not even back to CT yet (don't ask), and I'm already missing these fools. @___xozo___ @lyndsyes @agypsylady and Johanna (who really needs to make an Insta account)... You guys are freaking awesome and I hope our paths cross again soon! 🙏❤️💖🤗😘
I’ve been on the struggle bus 🚌 today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My flight out of Iowa this afternoon was cancelled... so I hopped in a van bound for Chicago and hitched a three hour ride to O’Hare! Made it in time for the second leg of my flight only to find out it was delayed for another 4 hours. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I don’t need to tell you how emotional I was about not getting as much time with baby Huey before our cross-country trip tomorrow... because you can probably imagine. 😭 (*accurate emoji depiction of me) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, amidst the travel chaos I was reminded of a quote my mom used to tell me as a kid. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When we cannot control what is happening in our lives—we still have a choice in how we react to it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, I busted out my iPad and did something that brought me joy: doodling positive quotes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And once I finished, I started airdropping them to the people sitting around me... then I hopped up and started walking... airdropping these little doodles to anyone and everyone who happened to leave their Airdrop on. 😆 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Y’all — It was so much fun. I’m not sure who received the doodles, but I hope it made this travel chaos a little easier for somebody else. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m still waiting for this flight home to Baltimore... but with a little more joy in my heart and the hope that I made one person’s day a little brighter. ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I hope that whatever circumstances you face this week, you remember to choose joy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #nataliefrankedoodles#communityovercompetition
I don’t much like sports. (By “much” I mean “at all”; I’m not that kind of lesbian.) But I would surely get a letter for running through airports (and actually making my connection.) In this chapter of Sprinting Through Airports, your hero arrived with minutes enough to spare for to wallop a tuna sandwich. And enjoy the beautiful world outside, through beams of light on woolen shoes. The food at #pdxairport rather outdoes the comestible offerings in any airport (in fact, many small towns) so I have to remember that #ohareinternationalairport Isn’t a wasteland and actually tuna is quite reasonable and thank you Fish.
THIS 🙌🏻 is the face of one sleepy soul. Heading home today after 48 hours at @campclimb (aka summer camp for creatives — say whaaat?!). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last week was the most challenging chapter so far in my life as an entrepreneur (I’ll share details in due time), followed by a whirlwind weekend at Camp. To say it’s nap time is an understatement 💤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ P.S. I was reeeal sneaky-like, finishing all of my Monday work at airports + coffee shops today, so I can take tomorrow off (oh, the joy of email schedulers!). Cheers to working smart & leaving margin for much-needed rest 👊🏻
