Ohhhhhh GUYS!! I am LEGIT effing excited about this one! My fingers and toes are crossed that it actually turns out the way it should, and that the embeds didn’t take some wonky tumble when I tapped it down. 🤞😬🤞Can’t wait to share!!
Soap isn’t the only thing we make with goats milk around here! A gorgeous farmhouse cheese (Chèvre) is getting ready to hang! 🥰 True story: I used to HATE goat cheese. I thought it was so gross and musky. Then we started making our own. Nigerians have especially delicious milk that almost tastes just like cow milk, with just the barest hint of goatiness (which I’ve learned, I actually really enjoy!). It makes an absolutely phenomenal soft cheese that I literally CANNOT stop eating. 🤤
My first ever attempt at a gold oil/mica drizzle. It went a little haywire... 😬(THINGS I LEARNED: I probably should have used a pipette instead of drizzling it straight out of the jar... and the mixture could probably have been a little thicker.) I still love it though!! 🙌 This is also my first EVER purple soap (thanks @madmicas for making it happen with “I Dream Of Purple” and “The Guilty Grape” micas!) and the first time trying this particular hanger swirl. Can’t WAIT to cut it because I have ZERO idea what it’s going to look like!!
Have extra bars you aren’t moving? Give them a revamp as embeds in an entirely new soap! In this case, I WAY underscented our original Poppyseed Muffin bars, so I upcycled them into a much smellier NEW soap- LEMON POPPYSEED- and hot damn is it delicious! Skip back a few post to see how rad the bars turned out! ✌️
Barefoot in the kitchen, cutting the brand new Lemon Poppyseed bars. Guys. I swear I died and went to heaven. 😇 I could hollow out a hole in this bar and live in it for the rest of my life!! 🏠Scented with Almond, Lemon EO, Litsea Cubeba EO, and just the barest hint of cherry. It is a LEGIT copy of a Lemon Poppyseed muffin.
Litsea Cubeba Himalayan Salt Bar. Hands down my favorite bar we make. 🙌 These bars are super simple and super duper conditioning and the SMELL is absolutely incredible and citrusy sweet. They’ve been selling like hot cakes, but there are still a few left! 😁
These beauties are available at market and will go live online tomorrow in limited quantity! Big Creek (so named for our first ever MEGA backpacking overnighter) is scented with juniper and cedar, with a little bit of campfire smoke, pine and fresh underbrush. 🌲
