And the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ never took revenge for his own sake, unless the sacred limits of Allâh were transgressed." ﷽ • _ It was narrated from Abû Qatâdah رضي الله عنه‎‎ that...the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: "Three days of each month and one Ramadân to the next, that is like fasting for an entire lifetime. Fasting on the day of ‘Arafah, I ask Allâh that it may expiate for (the sins of) the year that comes before it, and the year that comes after it. And fasting the Day of 'Âshûrâ', I ask Allâh that it may expiate for (the sins of) the year that comes before it." ﷽ • _ 🌸 ETIQUETTES OF THE LAYLATUL QADR – A night better than a 1000 months ✨ - 1️⃣ Sincerely worship Allāh سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى on the night of the Qadr. It is Sunnah of RasulAllah (ﷺ) that he used to pray all the night and used to keep his family awake as well. [Sahih Bukhari 2024] - 2️⃣ Believe that by praying sincerely and with correct faith on the night of the Qadr, all the previous minor sins will be forgiven. [Sahih Bukhari 35 & 2014] - 3️⃣ Perform i’tikaaf in Masjid. It is Sunnah of the RasulAllah (ﷺ). He used to perform for all 10 nights. Men & Women both should perform it in Masjid and should engage themselves abundantly in the all kind of Ibadat. [Sahih Bukhari 2025 & 2026] - 4️⃣ Search the night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last 10 days of Ramadan i.e. 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th respectively. [Sahih Bukhari 2017] - 5️⃣ Night of Qadr changes every year. The Sahabah saw the night of Qadr on different nights on different years. The wisdom behind this is that Allah (سُبحانه وتعالى) wants us to keep ourselves devoted in his worship in these 10 days, so that we remain like this throughout the year. - The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) worshipped the same way in the last 10 days, so we should do this as well. Do not fix only one day for worshipping (like 27th) because who knows that Laylatul Qadr has already passed.. or is about to come, so donot waste these nights, treat every night as important because this was the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). - NOTE: Watch the video in my IGTV in which Shaykh ibn Uthaymeen (رحمة الله) cleared this misconception! - 6️⃣ The famous duaa of last 10 nights – “Allahumma innaka afawwun tuhibbul afwa fa fu anni” – there are differences in opinions regarding the grading of the hadiths so I won't be mentioning it here But Alhamdulillah there is a duaa for Laylatul Qadr which is graded hasan by some senior scholars – “Allahumma inni
﷽ • _ Narrated Abū Hurairah رضي الله عنه‎‎: Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said, “Whoever establishes the (Nawāfil —- voluntary) prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allāh's rewards (not to show off) then all his past sins will be forgiven.” [Sahîh Al-Bukhâri, 35] _ This hadith tells us that whoever establishes Qiyam/night prayer on the night of Qadr with full faith and sincerity, then all his sins will be forgiven BUT only minor sins not major ones, major sins can only be forgiven if one repents, because Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎‎ reported that, Verily the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The five (daily) prayers and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramadhan to Ramadhan are expiations for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sins [Sahîh Muslim, 233c] & it is narrated on the authority of Abu Zubair that he heard Jabir bin 'Abdullah saying. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ observing this, "Between man and polytheism and unbelief is the abandonment of salat." [Sahîh Muslim, 82b] _ The above ahadith prove that major sins can only be forgiven if one repents. If one abandons praying Salah the whole year and then prays on laylatul-qadr and then again abandons Salah the whole year, will his abandoning Salah (which is Kufr as well) be forgiven by just praying on laylatul-qadr? _ #beautifulteachingsofislam✅ #ramadanseries✨🌙 #share

﷽ • _ Narrated 'Āishah رضي الله عنها: With the start of the last ten days of Ramadān, the Prophet ﷺ used to tighten his waist belt (i.e., work hard) and used to keep awake all the night and perform Salāt (prayer) and also used to keep his family awake for the Salāt (prayer).
